you and edwin have known each other for well, as long as you can remember really. you both decided to make it official just before edwin left for prettymuch. it's been so hard hardly seeing him when you used to see him everyday but now it's your normal.

your birthday was coming up. normally, edwin takes you out to cheesecake factory and y'all eat until you either vomit or literally can't eat anymore and you love it. but this year? well you had no idea what would happen. considering he's meant to be in Chicago on your birthday.

edwin looks at brandon "hey so i've kinda made a custom jacket for y/n and i wanna take it to her for her birthday which is literally in two days.."
brandon looks at the others then over to edwin "be in chicago by 6pm and it's all good"
edwin smiled "thank you thank you thank you!"

he quickly grabbed his jacket that he customised. it was his old one that you loved wearing all the time so he decided that would be the perfect one to customise. he headed back home to NY, and knocked on your apartment door.

you had been doing the dishes when you heard a knock on the door. you walked over to the door and opened it. seeing edwin standing there, with a colourful bag filled with something, you had no idea what. and some roses.
you smiled "edwin. what are you doing here?"
edwin smiled "your birthday! i'm kinda meant to be in chicago by 6pm on your actual birthday so i came asap and thought we could celebrate together before hand!"
you smiled kissing edwin's cheek "you're the best"
edwin smiled following you in "open open open" he handed you the bag.

you opened it. at first you just saw the jacket you used to wear of his all the time. you looked at him confused "turn it around" he smiled
you flipped the jacket over to see what he had painted on the back.
you smiled "oh ed. i love it. it's perfect"
edwin smiled "just like you. and i made it just for you " he kisses you

you two spent the next few days together celebrating your birthday before edwin had to head to chicago. it was by far one of the best few days you have had since edwin moved. no doubt about that
