meeting family for the first time - a.p

you and austin have been together for along time, but he hasn't meet your parents yet. you've met his family, and you've gotten along with them really really well. but.

you being from new zealand and having your family fly out to LA alone is a challenge.

once your family got there after 25 hours of LONG travel they organised to come over and see all the boys. it was meant to be just you & austin & your family but, having the other boys there just in case something went wrong was a good feeling of comfort.

11am;

"everyone up and dressed please!!" you start to panic and go into what the boys call it ''mom mode"
zion nods "i'm up i'm up"
nick slowly walks down the stairs "okay i'm here"
edwin was already up, to your surprise but it was one less person you had to worry about so you weren't too worried.
austin? well nothing.

you walk upstairs into yours and austin's room "aust" you poke him softly and he didn't flinch
so. you take a different approach and text zion "can you call out that i made breakfast so he wakes up? he won't flinch from poking him and my plan C is to slap him so i hope this works"

zion smiled reading the text "PANCAKES!!" he screams and then starts to make some noise downstairs so it sounded like he was scrambling for them
austin woke up "where?!"
you smiled "good you're up. get up and put on a shirt. they'll be here soon. i'm already nervous enough as it is without having to" you sighed and austin cut you off with a kiss "i got it babe. i'll be down in time"
you nod and walk back down to see you're still missing one.. brandon.

brandon seems to be on his own timetable 90% of the time which normally works out well when he's the one in charge but when it's flipped well... yeah.

you walk in and start jumping on the bed "you know how much this mean to me for aust to make a good impression and this ain't helping" you said as you were jumping

brandon nods "okay okay. i'm getting up."

out of all the boys, brandon was like a brother. he gets on your nerves just as much as a brother does but you love him like family.

before you knew it your family was at the door. you took a deep breath before opening the door. you were H O P I N G things would go okay cause y'all have facetimed before but who knows what can change face to face

your sister walks in "you did well y/n!"
your little sister runs over to brandon "i like him more!"
you nod "he's been like my brother this whole time so i don't blame you!"
you smiled "mom, dad. this is my boyfriend. austin"
austin smiled "very glad to finally meet y'all ! "

your dad approved. he shook his hand "look after her soon"
your mom took a good 10 minutes to process "so you're the only girl?"
you nod "for the most part. i mean zion's girlfriend allie, brandon's girlfriend charlotte come and go but yeah. i'm the only permanent one living here"
your mom nods "i approve"

you smiled and sighed with relief. the day went to be better than expected and you were over the moon. turns out, austin is a lot more like your family than you expected which was sure as hell a relief!
