lil recap;
you had been living in the US for your whole life. you had been in and out of foster care, and had a really off and on relationship with your birth parents. it would be good one day then be terrible the other. but you went home to home. Texas, Utah, Arizona, New York, Oklahoma, both north & south carolina.. you met austin's family when you were about 12. you had been to a lot more homes since then but you had always stayed in touch with austin. his best friend edwin, just happened to be your boyfriend and well.. when y'all told austin he reacted a lot better than you expecting. so much so you knew something wasn't right.

around an hour later edwin looks at you "seriously y/n. that was too smooth..."
you nod "definitely. i love aust but that. that wasn't like him. he was always so overprotective and he still is and i know you're his mate and all but idk. it seems like he was too okay with it?"
edwin shrugs "if i found out one of the boys were in a secret relationship with my sister i wouldn't react that cool about it that's for sure."
you nod "i would be the same if it was aust. i just. idk."

you then decide to go find austin and talk to him just one on one. you kiss edwin's cheek "i'll be back. i'm gonna go to talk to aust."

you then walk around the whole house.. to find austin sitting out on the back porch.

you sit beside austin "hey man. is it okay if we talk?"
austin looks at you and just shrugs
you sighed "aust you're like a brother to me. i know you. i know when something isn't up. and same with edwin. he's your best friend. we can tell when things are up..."

you look at edwin "maybe if i talk to him alone it might be different?"

you walk downstairs and over to austin. who was kinda just in his own bubble.

you sighed  "austin. serious. i know you better than anyone in the house. talk to me."
austin shrugs "idk. i want y'all happy but i just. idk"
you look at austin "don't know what?"
you then sighed "if you're worried about him hurting me, he won't. i trust him. i trust him as much as i trust you"
austin sighed "oh yeah? didn't you say that about zach? you know the one who used to be my friend back in college but messed around with you just for fun when you thought y'all were serious?"
you sighed looking at austin "he's not like that. you know that."

austin nods "well yeah. maybe now he's not. but who knows. maybe two years down the track he might be"
he then adds "what if he uses you for money? like the ex kyle before you moved to live with me? y/n.."
you sighed "he's more successful than me so i don't see that being an issue and he makes me happy aust. can we just leave it at that?"
austin nods "fine. but if i get a girlfriend promise me you won't get all overprotective little sister mode on me?"
you nod "only if you let me keep seeing ed? and y'all go back to being close like before hand"
austin nods "deal" he spits on his hand and holds it out for a handshake
you smiled, spit on your hand and shake his in return.

you then went up to tell edwin and he knew it went good as he could see you smiling. y'all then spent the rest of the day just talking hanging out. was one of the best days you've had in a long time!
