you and nick have been together 4 years now. in fact, it's your 4 year anniversary today. you are not expecting a lot, because well, let's just say.. out of you & nick, you are 100%, the romantic one. i mean don't get me wrong you love & adore nick but he could step up his romance game.
you decided to go out for a little to take your mind off things. you weren't exactly sure where you were gonna go but you had to come up with a descent reason so he wouldn't start questioning things.
you smiled kissing nicks cheek "i'll be back later bub. i'm gonna go look at puppies at the shelter with my sister taylor!" nick nods and smiles "okay baby! text me when you're on your way home?" you nod "okay! i love you!" nick smiled "i love you more"
little did you know, nick had something up his sleeve.
nick smiled "clear!" the boys all came out from different directions. zion was hiding in the downstairs bathroom, brandon was hiding in the office, edwin was hiding in the upstairs living room, austin was hiding in the guest room upstairs. brandon smiled "you ready?!" nick nods "yup! nervous but ready" zion rolls his eyes "oof. y'all making it sound like he's bouta propose or some shit!" austin smiled "he's not but it'll be a big thing for y/n!"
nick & the boys started to piece together a romantic room downstairs. it had candles small ones & big ones, rose petals white & red all across the floor and sofa. he knew white ones were your favourite. and some fairy lights. simple but cute.
you text nick "i'm 5 minutes away!" nick nods and replies "okay see you soon bub!" nick itches his head "boys! she's almost back!" the boys nod and run away to hide.
you walk inside and put your things down on the kitchen table, walk around the corner into the living room and see this;

you look at nick "ni-" he cut you off "i never do anything romantic for you. so. on our fourth anniversary, i decided just to do it. you make me wanna be romantic" you smiled "you didn't have to do this" nick smiled "no i didn't, but i wanted to" you smiled "i love you" nick smiled "i love you more"
nick made you smile so much. and the fact that he did something for you so big, although it would seem so small for others, it was something big for you. it made you smile so much. it made you feel so warm inside. you had no idea what you did to deserve him.
