he didnt believe me when i said "you're the one" - e.h

you've been with edwin for about 6 months officially. but y'all have been friends for almost a year and a half. so you basically started dating after being friends for a year.

but. there's one thing wrong about it all.

your dad.

he's always been hard and overprotective but when it comes to your relationships it seems to be a little extra over protective.

he can be genuinely scary at times. really scary. so you try to avoid his "bad" side.

then. well. you'll find out.

edwin looks at you "babe. we've been together awhile. and we are getting serious. maybe we should tell your father"

you sighed "ed. i can't."
edwin smiled "y/n. you need to."
you sighed "i can't edwin. i just can't. he terrifies me."
edwin smiled "please. for me. for us."
you nod "okay fine"

11pm. your dad just got home from work.

you look at your father "dinner is in the fridge. can we talk though?"
your dad rolled his eyes as he grabbed the food "ok"
you sighed and sat down on the couch "edwin & i are-"
your dad cut you off "if he's in this house right now i'll kill him"
you sighed as edwin heard and came downstairs "she's the one for me sir"

your dad rolled his eyes and kicked him out.

you sighed and looked at your dad "dad! could you of at least given him a shot?! i really love him..."
your dad mumbled "oh i'll give him a shot alright"
you sighed "seriously! this is stupid.. i'm gonna go crash with him and the boys for a bit."

you packed a bag and left as fast as you could.

you sighed looking at edwin "i'm sorry.."
edwin smiled "babe it's okay. at least he knows now!"
you sighed "he didn't even give you the slightest chance ed.."
edwin nods "i know. and he didn't believe me when i said you're the one"
you nod "i know. let's just. forget this happened. and be like how we were before hand"

you both then headed back to the PRETTYMUCH house. you were honestly happy that you were staying there for a few nights. it wasn't as bad as you thought it would be with 5 men in a house. but. it wasn't bad. you and edwin just left what your dad said at your house and left it at that until he has calmed down more, and when he did, a year later; which took him long enough he realised how serious edwin actually was about you and ended up liking edwin. FINALLY.
