nick dances. he loves it. but let's just say.. it's one thing you've never been able to do, at least to the standards you expect from nick. so it's more or less impossible. but. nick sees it differently.

"baby! let's go!" nick smiled
you look at nick "hm? i thought it was a lazy day today?"
nick smiled "well it was. come on"
you get up and follow nick. he leads you to the rooftop of their house.

you look around "nick.. what are you up to"
flowers were everywhere. and a beautiful picnic was set up.
nick smiled "can i have this dance?"
you sighed "nick you know i can't dance"
nick smiled reaching for your hand "take my hand. i'll take the lead and every turn, you'll be safe with me"
you smiled nodding following nick as he lead
nick smiled "don't be afraid. afraid to fall. you know i'll catch you through it all"
you nod and you and nick danced for a good 2 hours.

you both fell down onto the picnic blanket

nick smiled looking at you "see. you're not that bad!"
you nod "i had a great teacher"
nick smiled "let's eat!"

you both ate and talked for even longer than y'all danced.

nick stood up and smiled

you looked at nick "nick if this is what i think it is then-"
nick smiled getting down on one knee "no matter what approaches us, we get through it together. no matter how hard, no matter how easy. you have been the one to be here for me, when no one else was. you make me smile. laugh. cry. motivate me. there's no one else i would want to spend my life with, but you. i love you y/f/n. will you marry me?"
you nod as tears came down straight away "yes yes yes"
nick places the ring on the correct finger and picks you up and spins you around and kisses you.

you smiled softly at nick. after the past year y'all have had together, you wanted this moment to last forever.
