dance camp gone wrong?? - b.a

you and brandon met two summers ago, at dance camp. it was a summer camp, just based around dance.

you were both teachers at the camp. let's just say. there was always rivalry between y'all. and there still is! the friendship the two of you built off of that camp was like nothing other. and the healthy competition isn't bad for you either! that's a win win to be honest!

things became odd tho. when you both got back to LA. brandon stayed one night. y'all. well you know. had a good night to say the least. but something just didn't feel right.

you sat up and sighed and looked at brandon as he was still asleep
"i know you're looking at me y/n" he smirked with his eyes close
you sighed "why doesn't this feel right?"
brandon looks at you "we've been in the same bed before babe. that ain't new"
you nod "no that ain't but the whole-"
brandon joins "sex thing?"
you nod "yeah. that. it doesn't feel right"
brandon nods "yeah.. it didn't. maybe we're just meant to be nothing more than what we already were?"
you nod and sighed "which sucks cause i really like you"
brandon nods "me too. it makes me think dance camp went wrong huh.."
you nod "honestly though. what's so different here than what it was when we were there?"
brandon shrugs "no idea. but i'm gonna go." he kisses your cheek "i'll call you later"
you nod

once brandon had been gone for a few hours, you were thinking about how things could/had changed. you couldn't really put your finger on it. it had you completely lost.

brandon texts you;

b🐶❤️; "ah hey. i think i know what was wrong"
you; "what?"
b🐶❤️; "we haven't danced together in forever.."
you: "we never danced together in the first place?"
b🐶❤️; "that's the problem"

you agreed to meet brandon at the dance complex. he shows you something he choreographed a few years back.

he pauses "that's it"
you nod, he smiled "the spark" you both said at the same time.

once you both managed to work out what was missing, and dancing more, spending more time together etc, you both felt so much closer together and taking that next step, wasn't as awkward
