you and zion haven't been on an "offical" date yet. it's been a year and a half. it seems silly, but it's how you like it. it's just like what it was when you were best friends, and you don't want anything to change that so you didn't mind.
but. zion did.
zion throws an outfit at you as you're in bed "let's go" you look at zion "you know. i never loved this side of you. ya know the stressed zion" zion shakes his head "i'm not stressed. now get up before we lose too much daylight." you look at zion "bub. breathe. what's the rush?" zion smiled "no rush just get up. our shit sleep schedules are not on our side for this one" you nod "okay"
you get dressed into this outfit;

as smile as it is, it's one of zion's favourites.
once you were dressed you looked at zion "right. this better mr stressed?" zion smiled "i'm not stressed! let's go"
zion drove y'all off to this random yet beautiful place. it was by a river/lake kinda location. it was beautiful. zion pulls out your favourite fast food to eat together and looks at you "it's our favourites!" you smiled "yeah it is but why?" zion smiled "i wanted to take you out in an official date" you smiled "z you didn't have to. you know that" zion smiled "yeah. i know but you deserve it!"
you grab the football and chuck it at zion "go long!"
zion giggles and stood up. you threw the ball causing him to catch it, he threw it back and you caught it. zion comes back and smiled "didn't know you were that good at football" you smiled "neither did i!" you jumped on his back.
he ran a good 15 feet before he pretended to fall. just so he could catch you. at this point, you still had your legs wrapped around him, you were just on his stomach, not his back. "z. put me down" zion smiled "ah nope. monkey" you smiled "you know you're the monkey not me" zion smiled "challenge accepted. you take that tree and i'll take that one. whoever can get up then back down the fastest is the monkey" you nod "bet"
you both finished at the exact same time and flopped on the ground at the same time beside each other "let's call that one a tie" zion smiled you nod "i'm happy with that" a bit breathless zion smirks "i really take your breath away hey!" you look at zion and shrug "eh you're ight" zion smiled "oooo you're dead!" he jumps up and starts to chase after you.
you both end up back on the ground laughing. it was the best first date ever. although you've been out together alone, you've both never really considered them "dates" because you loved each other's company so much. but, this was the best way to start it.
