“Are you trying to get me killed?” I exclaimed to Grant as we ducked down a side street away from the gang he had provoked.

“Nope,” He kissed me quickly, in an attempt to dissolve my anger.

“I’m going back to the hotel,” I pulled away from him but his grip on my arm pulled me back,

“Come on sexy Bexy!” Grant pouted, “It’s new years eve!”

I sighed and half smiled at him, it was new years eve and it was just us.

“Okay,” I sighed as he pulled me in to his arms.

“I know you’d rather be with the others,” He kissed me gently, “But we all know it’s safer like this,”

“I don’t think it’s too dangerous to spend new years together!” Our heads snapped around at a boys voice at the opposite end of the street, “Do you Cam?”

“Cammie!” I exclaimed and pulled away from Grant before running to my best friend.

“Hey,” Cam laughed and hugged me tightly, I noticed the chain around her neck, hidden slightly by the scarf and coat she was wearing, her eyes looked tired but the smile on her face said she had no idea that she would be meeting us here.

When we pulled apart Cam turned to Zach and kissed him quickly, “Thank you,”

“You’re welcome,” He smiled to her, “Now,” He looked at his watch, “What do you say we head to a little party?”

“Finally!” Grant exclaimed as we began to walk, Cam and I between the boys.

“Have you been out of the country?” Cam asked us,

“Not yet,” I told her, “We did some travelling around but ended up back in London for christmas with my parents,”

“How are they?” Zach asked politely,

“Really good cooks!” Grant exclaimed, he hadn’t been able to get enough of my parents cooking.

“Where did you spend christmas?” I asked them.

“We were in Russia,” Zach explained, his arm around Cammie’s waist, “But we got a message from Abby saying she wanted us to find them for christmas,”

“So you spent it with your family too?” I asked.

“Yeah,” Cam nodded, “We went through Paris and picked up some gifts for everyone,”

“That was thoughtful,” I shared a look with Zach as we came to a hotel, thinking about Cammie’s ring.

“Here we are,” He looked up the building and smiled.

“What else have you up your sleeve?” Cammie frowned at him sceptically.

“You’ll see,” He took her hand and lead us inside.

“Stay here,” Zach told us as he pulled away from us in the middle of the lobby, Grant followed him leaving just Cam and I.

“Let’s see the ring,” I grinned at her.

“He said he’d told you about it,” Cammie smiled as she pulled it out, “It’s lovely,” 

I knew you’d love it!

“I promise I’ll always be here,” I mumbled and nodded my approval, “He’s soft really,”
