Finals were over, the Circle was gone, and graduation was just around the corner. I walked through the hallway of the hotel that the Gallagher Trustee’s had hired out for us to use for the remainder of the school year. Cammie, Liz, and Macey along side me, the rest of the Seniors just up ahead. We were all heading out for one last trip in to Roseville.

“What’s on at the Cinema?” Anna asked Tina as they walked together. I looked to my friends and asked, “What do you fancy doing?”

“You know,” Cammie asked as we stepped out of the foyer and in to the sun, “I really couldn’t care, as long as it’s relaxing.”

I smiled at her and nodded in agreement, “How about the park?”

“That sounds like a plan,” Macey agreed as we walked along the street in the general direction of the town centre.

I paused and glanced in the direction of the Pharmacy, debating if i should spend the last of my change while I could.

“I’ll catch you guys up, I want to get some candy for my flight home next week,”

The nodded and carried on to the park as I branched off from them.

The bell on the door rang as I pushed it open and stepped in to the cool shop. I hadn’t expected it to be empty, it was a Saturday and the kids from Roseville High were all out buying revision snacks for the last of their finals. As usual, I ignored their glares and scanned over the shelves of candy bars and bags, looking for something to take my fancy.

However, when I was shoved to one side by no other than Dillon, I couldn’t help but have one last dig at him. He glared at me and spat, “Just because you go to that stupid boarding school doesn’t mean that you get priority over the stock!”

I rested my hands on my hips and returned his glare, “Were you never taught ettiquete?”

He pretended to think about it before sarcastically retorting, “You know what, i think that’s the class I always skipped. Oh no, they only teach it at your snob school,”

I rolled my eyes at him, “At least I know how to respect other people,”

Two more boys stepped up beside Dillon and I could see the reflection of three more behind me in the window. I wasn’t worried, I could easily take the six of them. The only problem was that they weren’t meant to know about my super strength. I pursed my lips as they stepped closer to me, “If you respected us, you wouldn’t show your face in this town. Nobody wants you here.”

“I’d disagree with that, gentlemen,” A man stepped up behind me, pushing past the three boys that had been at my back, “Do you have a problem with this lady buying some snacks for her and her friends to enjoy just like you do?”

Dillon and his friends swallowed hard and took a step backwards, obviously noticing the man’s muscular forearms. His voice had the tiniest hint of fear in it as he replied, “Not at all, say miss, could we buy you something?”

I shook my head, “Actually, you’ve put me off now.”

I pushed past the three boysand back out in to the warm air, aware of the man following me closely. As I turned to go towards the park, he grabbed my arm and pulled me back, “Can we talk?”

I looked up and down his body. The same muscular arms and toned chest that I had clung to the last time I had seen him, the time I thought I’d never see him again. He wore a worried expression on his face, but there was something else there too. I wasn’t quite sure, but it looked somewhat like a look Zach often gave Cammie. I followed him to the gazebo and took a seat on the step, looking out over the town square. As he opened his mouth to speak I cut him off, “Why did you leave?”
