•making plans with him so that he has something to look forward to

• "hey, when you get outta here johnny, i think we should go see a movie."

•when he sleeps at night you pray for him even though dallas says praying does nothing

•pushing his bangs out of his face when they creep down into his eyes

•when his mom came into see him you almost cut a bitch
