Dedicated to shelby348554 because I miss you and I can't wait to see your big headed self tomorrow afternoon✨💗
CAI's POINT OF VIEW
Sitting in class, I thought about all of the things my parents were saying to each other earlier this morning.
They thought that I couldn't hear but I heard it all.
I believe that my Dad actually would take my Mom back to court when it comes to us. He's always so serious about us and our well being. Seeing Shemar there, I was shocked. They're for real, for real together now. I knew it by the way he took up for her and the sound of his voice.
Honestly, I don't even care who she dates anymore. If she's happy, then I'm happy for her. I can't get upset with her, my Dad can't either because he's seeing Carmen still.
I already know that he's jealous of Shemar because I know for a fact that he wants my Mom back. He just acts like he doesn't.
Staring at the board, I began writing down the current equation that we were all working on together as a class. I tried my best to make sure that Mrs. Barton had not seen my zoning out moments. I know that she wouldn't hesitate to call my Mom once more.
Suddenly, the bell began to ring.
I rushed to put my notebook in my bag. Next, I stuffed my pencil in there as well. I waited as a few people pasted by me before I was I leave. After everybody in my row had left, I got up, put my backpack on and headed for the door. However, I was stopped before I made it out.
"Caiya..." I heard Mrs. Barton says.
"Yes ma'am?" I said as I turned to look at her.
"I can write you a pass but we need to talk. I don't have a class next period. Sit."
I nodded my head and took a seat in the front row.
"Is this about something that I did?" I asked her.
"I'm just checking on you." She said as she leaned against her desk and smiled at me. "How's everything going at home?" She asked me.
"Fine." I noted as I tapped my index finger on the desk.
"You sure? Have you gotten the bad thoughts out of your head about harming yourself? Please say yes."
"I got caught last night."
"Caught how?..." She asked as she sat on her desk and looked at me.
"I snuck out. I never did that before. I also did a few other things that I hadn't done before."
"Caiya." She said with a deep sigh. "What were those things?"
"I-....uhm, smoked for the first time. It was okay...kinda burned, I guess. Then, once we arrived to the party, I actually tasted some type of alcohol? It didn't taste that good though. It made me nauseous in the end. Then, something else happened but I don't wanna talk about that." I told her.
"I hope it isn't anything that would harm you..."
"No...no-...I don't think so." I said as I smiled to myself. "Yeah, I don't think so." I added as I removed my backpack from my back.
