CAIYA's POINT OF VIEW
Continued from last chapter;I gently rubbed my arm through my jacket sleeve as I started walking down the stairs to meet up with Ma and Shemar.
I wanted to stay upstairs but Ma wasn't gonna have that. If we were to put it any other way, I didn't wanna be around neither of them.
It's sad to say that I've came back to this place of disliking my Mom but maybe I wouldn't be here if she hadn't been so fickle with her men.
She doesn't see how her indecisiveness can harm both the men and her children.
If anything in the world, I always wanted to be close to both of my parents, yet I don't think that's possible at all at this point.
From my Dad hating my paining passion to my Mom lying on me just to save her cheating ass- I've been fucked left and right.
I deeply sighed as I made it towards the last step on the stairs. Finally my bare feet met the cold hardwood floor.
Listening, I knew that Ma and Shemar were both in the kitchen. I could hear them laughing and having small talk.
I pushed some of my curls towards the back of my head and slightly slouched due to an automatic irritation of having to be around the two of them.
As I made my way towards the kitchen, the talking started to get a little bit more louder to where I could fully hear the words that they were saying. In addition, I could already smell the sweet aroma of pizza drifting throughout the air.
Finally, I made it towards the entrance way of the kitchen. Once I appeared, the talking stopped. They both held a slice of pizza in their hands and an estimate of three pizza boxes were resting on the kitchen island.
"Hey Caiya..." Shemar said as he looked over at me. Ma stared at me and waited for me to be respectful and say hi back.
I gently rubbed my left eyebrow and looked down at the floor. "Hi," I said to him as I then looked over at Ma.
"Are you feeling better, honey?" Ma asked me as she continued staring at me with slight concern.
I nodded my head. "Yes, I just needed a moment. That's all," I spoke up as I started walking over towards the pizza boxes.
It seemed as if the island was the place to be. Both Ma and Shemar had been placed there.
"So, what movie do you two wanna watch? Maybe we could watch something on Netflix, Hulu...I don't know. Up to you guys," Shemar suggested as he took a bite of his pizza. The cheese was barely hanging on.
"Oooouu, you know maybe we could all watch Greenleaf from the beginning to the current season. I'm so behind on that," Ma said as she looked at Shemar.
He instantly smiled at her and she smiled back.
"I don't really care what we watch so..." I said as I opened the pizza box, grabbed a plate beside it and then grabbed two slices.
"Greenleaf it is," Shemar spoke up as he shrugged his shoulders.
"Dope," I dryly started as I walked out of the kitchen with my plate.
