TONY's POINT OF VIEW

The table was silent.

Cheryl, Caiya and I were all sitting at the dining table waiting for somebody to talk.

No food. Just us. A talking area.

Ciyle and Dana over my Mom's house as what seems like always.

Caiya stared down into her lap and Cheryl stared at her puzzled.

I reached up to touched the front of my neck and lightly sighed at the pain that was still in tact.

"So, are we gonna talk about this or what?" I asked the table.

Cheryl looked over at me and I looked up at her. Our eyes only met for a moment but she pulled away and looked over at Caiya.

"I'm sorry...okay?" Caiya spoke up. She kept her head down.

"You know, what you did was horrible. However, it's something that I expected of you. Why do you always have to do things to hinder this family?" I asked Cai.

She rushed to look at me. "Hinder it? I did it because she's supposed to be with you! Not him!" She slightly yelled as she pointed at me. Next, she sighed and shook her head. "Are you not tired of her playing games?" She asked.

"Alright, look- I'm not playing games," Cheryl spoke up.

"How when you sleep with my Dad and then go back to sleeping with Shemar? Does that not sound like games, Mom?"

"Caiya, you have to understand this...your Father and I have tried to get back together, okay? We tried but—"

"You're the only one whose not trying hard enough. I heard some of your conversation the other day when you came over to see us. Daddy has been trying to make it work but then, this happens. Just tell him straight up that you don't want him instead of jumping at the chance of hopping in bed with him whenever Shemar isn't available. Do you love him or not?!" Caiya asked Cheryl.

"Caiya, I know you're upset but you shouldn't talk to your Mother just any kind of way!" I spoke up.

Caiya then huffed and lightly rolled her eyes.

"You're in the wrong, Caiya. Apparently, almost more than one million people have viewed that video and you don't even feel an inch of sympathy in this situation?" I asked her as I continued rubbing my neck.

"Why do you guys even care about what I do? So many things have been happening behind your backs and you can't even see it. Some days I wish that I were dead because It'd be must better than being here in this family," Caiya explained.

"Caiya, enough with that nonsense! You need to stop talking like that! Your actions are what cause you to get into these consequences. We've asked you so many times to talk to us about what's going on but we can't make you talk!" Cheryl explained to her.

"You guys don't know what it's like to be me. I don't even know why God even created me..." Caiya explained as she looked down into her lap.

The entire table then grew silent.

"Caiya, we love you so much but sometimes things that you do are beyond uncalled for. We're your parents and you can always talk to us. Look, your life is a gift and it was definitely a gift to us. When you were younger, you were so much happier. You seemed as if happiness was all that you knew, however two years ago everything changed. Maybe that's apart of my fault but something else has been going on, Cai. Why won't you just tell us, so we can talk about it and step towards something healthier?" Cheryl asked her.
