The hundredth chapter. Whew, Lord.

CHERYL's POINT OF VIEW
Sweet Flashbacks;
Caiya- 5 years old.

"Noooo, no, Mommy. I didn't want that color," Caiya told me as I was in the middle of painting her toenails. I had already successfully painted her fingernails a sparkly color of baby blue and apparently the pink that I had picked up for her toenails wasn't the color she originally wanted.

I rushed to pull my hand back and looked up at her with confusion. "Well, baby- what color did you want them? I thought you said pink..."

She shook her head and pointed towards the purple nail polish instead that rested on the floor beside me.

"Okay, well- we can change it, baby girl," I told her as I grabbed the nail polish removal and tried opening it. With the top being on tightly, I bit my bottom lip and gripped the cap even tighter. It wasn't budging.

"Do you want me to go and get Daddy to open it?" She asked in her cute, little voice.

I shook my head and that's when it finally opened.

"See, I got it!" I told her as I gently laughed and started to grab everything I needed in order to remove the pink polish from her. "So, did you enjoy the zoo today with Daddy and I?" I asked her as I watched her blow on her little hands to get the polish to dry. I smiled.

"Yes, it was fun. I wish that we could've seen the pandas!" She told me as I grabbed the purple polish and placed her foot on top of my legs that were crisscrossed. She was my little Princess and Tony and I always wanted the best for her in every way possible.

I laughed a small laugh and looked up at her. "Why do you love pandas so much?" I asked her.

She shrugged her shoulders. "They're cute..."

"I agree but baby, Mommy has to talk to you about something..." I told her as I started to paint her toenails for her.

"We're going to Chuck E. Cheese?" She asked in the most excited tone.

"No, no, baby. I-...it's something else. Something I wanna know..."

"Oh..." she told me as her preppy tone faded into a normal voice.

"You know that you can talk to me about any and everything, right?" I told her with a stern look on my face. She nodded her head goofily. I laughed but I didn't want to because it was a serious conversation.

"Come on, baby. I'm serious. You can."

"I can. Yes," she said as she started laughing and smiling.

I shook my head and put my pinky finger out for her.

"You know the drill..." I told her as I watched her wrap her pinky around mines. "Bring it in..." I added as her and I kissed our end of the pinky promise hand hold.

"I promise," we both said in unison.

I could feel Tony letting out a deep sigh of relief as my back rested against his chest while him and I accompanied each other in the jacuzzi bathtub.
