SHEMAR's POINT OF VIEW

The tension in the room was more than just confusing but the air was so thick that you had to cut it with a sharp ass knife.

I shifted myself on the couch a little bit and slouched down some. I looked at her as she sat there with her legs crossed and in complete silence.

Lorah was here.

"How have you been?" I asked her. She looked me in my eyes from the adjacent couch and lightly smiled.

"Good, actually. What about yourself?"

"Fine. Just been working." I said as I lightly sighed and looked over at the television that was completely off. "So, are we gonna talk about the reason as to why you texted me the other day?" I asked out of curiosity.

"The reason as to why I said that is because I do want us to try again. You never really told me why you called the entire wedding off..." She said as she titled her head and lightly furrowed her eyebrows.

I cleared my throat and sat up some on the couch.

"The reason I called the wedding off is because I was in love with another woman. I won't sugar coat anything...imma just tell you that straight up. That's why." I said in a calm voice.

"Damn. Just gonna straight up tell it to me like that, huh?" She asked as she looked down in her lap for a moment and then up at me.

"Would you rather me lie to you?" I asked as I raised one of my eyebrows.

"No...no...I'm happy that you told me the truth. I just didn't understand and I wish that you would have told me back then everything."

"I didn't think that you would care."

"Why wouldn't I care, Shemar? I was in love with you."

"Were you really?"

"Yes..." She said as her eyes started to dwell up with tears.

I looked at her and shook my head.

"Who was it?" She asked me as a tear then fell down her cheek. She reached up and wiped it away.

"Lorah, did you really come all the way to New York from California just to ask me these questions?" I asked her in a confused tone of voice.

"Shemar...just answer the question. I deserve to know. I moved, given things up and even left my family behind in California for you. Just tell me." She said as she looked away from me and tried to hold some of her tears back.

"Lorah...." I said as I sighed heavily and placed my hands on my head and titled my head back. "No, Alright. Just no. I'm not with her anymore. Doesn't matter." I told her as I shrugged my shoulders.

Lorah looked at me with a blank expression and then lightly shrugged her shoulders as well.

"I want you back." She finally said to me.

I took my hands off of my face and looked at her.

"You for real?" I asked.
