CHERYL's POINT OF VIEW

"Toni, how can we move forwards if he keeps throwing things in my face that I did? Then, he keeps thinking that I defend Tony. All I said was that peace should be a goal whenever it comes to the two of them and he acts like I said something wrong. It's common sense that they need to stop. I made my choice and Shemar has me. However, it seems like it's not enough for him," I explained to Toni as I slowly sat on the bottom edge of the bed and placed my left hand behind me to prop me up.

As I held the phone against my right ear, I waited for her to continue talking to me.

"Well, Cheryl. You have to jump into Shemar's head and see how he may be thinking. Sometimes he may think that certain ways you say things can aline in a way to defending Tony. Maybe you should think about how you respond to any subject that includes Tony," Toni told me in a calm voice. I'm sure she was sleepy but I needed to talk about this.

"I guess so but it's not like I try to sound like I'm defending him."

"Maybe you need to work on hiding the love you still have for Tony a litttleeee bit better?" Toni asked me.

I gently laughed and shook my head. "No, Toni. I don't. Very ridiculous..." I said as I then climbed up towards the top of the bed and sat on my side.

"Am I really ridiculous? I mean, come on, Cheryl. You've been married to him for what? Seventeen years and three beautiful children came from it as well? Why wouldn't you love that man?" Toni asked me as she yawned into my ear.

I slowly pulled the covers from underneath me and then slipped my legs underneath them.

"I mean yeah but I'm talking about craving more for him now. I don't want that. I don't want him..."

"Okay, Cheryl. I hear you. Overall, maybe you and Shemar need to make an appointment with me. Maybe we can talk about this defending stuff and see what he's thinking. You busy tomorrow?"

"Well, I'm gonna take Dana and Caiya out for a girls day in the morning. After that, I'm taking them back to Tony's because apparently, he has something planned for them all to do. I don't know but after that, I'm free. Maybe sometime in the afternoon we could meet?" I asked her as I ran my left hand across the covers and lightly sighed.

"Okay. I'll fit you two in. I'll let you know the time in the morning and...talk to Shemar. See where his head is, okay? Don't be stubborn."

"Yeah. Whatever. Goodnight, Toni..."

"I'm not playing, Cheryl. You better not let him go to sleep mad at you. Clear up the situation!"

I nodded my head. "Okay. Goodnight," I said once more. We then said our goodbyes and ended the call.

Right as I ended the call, Shemar walked into the bedroom and he didn't even look in my direction. Instead, he kept his head down into his phone.

Apart of me wanted to explain to him that I didn't try to defend Tony and the other part of me didn't feel like it.

I watched him as he sat at the bottom of the bed on the edge. Still on his phone...
