CAI's POINT OF VIEW
I hated this.
I hated being at home with my Dad because him and I don't have a connection anymore. We lost it too long ago and sometimes it's pathetic whenever he tries to gain it back.
He tries too hard and little does he know, I have no interest in being close.
It's different with my Mom but now it seems like he's the one who's falling off instead. The entire time that I was over my Moms house, he didn't even bother to call me. Is he that busy that he doesn't even remember his first born daughter or even sacrifices a minute of his day to check up on me?
Again, pathetic.
Maybe it's a good thing Ma and him are moving on from each other. They're both confusing, in my opinion.
I can't wait to go to college and no longer have to be stuck in between them both.
This back and forth shit isn't working for me.If anything, it's depressing.

SATURDAY
🥀"How's your Mom and Dad doing?" Kelly asked me as her and I sat at a table in the food court in the Crownton mall.
"Ha. Kells, they're the last two people that I want to talk about." I said as I placed a French fry into my mouth.
She covers her mouth with the back of her hand and lightly laughed. "Dang. It's like that?" She asked me as she then pushed her curly hair out of her face.
"Hell yeah." I said as I laughed and rolled my eyes. "Sometimes I just can't stand them." I added as I took another fry and swirled it around in some ketchup.
"Girl, you know that you love them."
"Of course I do but that doesn't change my mind about me wanting to get away from them."
"Well, at least your parents are still together." She said as she lightly shrugged her shoulders and looked around at people walking by.
I got silent all of a sudden and finally ate the French fry.
I hadn't told her about them getting a divorce. It's honestly embarrassing but at the same time- I almost cried whenever I spoke about it.
"You got silent..." She then said as she picked up her burger and prepared herself to take a bite.
"Yeah. Anyways, let's talk about something else." I said as I lightly smiled and tried to get through the thick air.
"Okay well- I have one question. What's been going on with you lately? I mean, you're just not hanging out with me. I heard about you and that Darleen thing but you just kept pushing Demetrius and I away. What's really going on, Cai? I don't know if it's at home or...I don't know." She said in a tone that sounded concerned.
"It's just very hard for me to talk about certain things. I've-...been going through a lot. You have no clue..."
"And why haven't you reached out to us?"
