CHERYL's POINT OF VIEW
The next day @ work;

Apparently, we had a meeting today concerning the Casting Directors and which project we were gonna work on next. I finished casting a show for BET last week and found some reasonable actors. So, now- it's time for us to move on to something different.

"Alright, so- today I'm gonna put you guys into teams because this...." The Head Casting Director; Jordan, said as she looked at us seriously. "Is very important and we have to be fast paced with this one, Alright?" She said as she looked at all of us in the room.

Marla was sitting right next to me and she sighed. She doesn't like the head casting director because it's always the same person every year. Marla gave the idea to the entire room of switching out and getting a new person to be head each year. However, Jordan wasn't going for it- she did everything in her power to deny Marla's idea. Jordan won. 8 years strong- and she's still the head casting director.

"Can this bitch hurry up already?" Marla whispered into my ear. I lightly laughed and looked over at her.

"Cool it." I told her as I tried to hold back my laugh and looked back towards the front where Jordan stood.

"There goes your man." Marla whispered as we both looked towards the door and saw Trey walk in.

"Mr. Trey Dolson...it's very unprofessional to walk into a meeting late." Jordan said to Trey. Every Casting Director in the room looked at Trey, some shook their heads and others just didn't care.

"Yeah, my bad, Boss. Traffic." Trey said as he nodded his head and scammed the room to find a seat. His eyes then stopped at an empty chair that was next to me.

"Traffic is gonna get you into a lot of trouble. Anyways...back to what I was saying..." Jordan said as she continued to talk about casting.

"Nobody else can be late except for her? Bull. Somebody needs to get her ass a man because she comes to work grouchy every single day. Damn- somebody needs to tap or something." Marla said as she whispered and leaned over into my ear.

"Geeze, Marla. You're reading the woman, huh? How do you know that she doesn't have a man?" I asked her as I saw Trey sit next to me. He then lightly touched my thigh and smiled at me. I smiled back and then looked back towards Marla so that she could answer my question.

"Girl, look at how she dresses. She eats lunch alone and then she goes home late as hell AFTER we've taken care of everything. I bet you fucking one hundred dollars that this woman doesn't have a man. No ring...no nothing. It's dry...everywhere, get me?" Marla whispered.

Marla and I then bursted out laughing together.

"Damn." I said as I tried to lower my laugh and covered my mouth.

We then looked up and saw Jordan looking at us. We then stopped laughing.

"Continue." Marla told Jordan as she tilted her head at her. Jordan rolled he eyes and continued talking.

"So, you not gonna pay me any attention?" Trey asked me as he put his arm around me and examined the side of my face. "Haven't called me or nothing. Is that what you do?" He asked in a whisper.
