The heroes hurried back to Hamelin, panting hard and flopping down into a sitting room. The battle had taken its toll on all of them, and they couldn't believe how difficult it had been, nor how heartbreaking it had ended up being.

"I can't believe it." Swaine murmured, sitting in a chair and burying his face in his hands. "Everything we went through, and now she has Nichole." The Doctor nodded, standing by the door. He wouldn't admit it, but he could feel the sting of the loss as well. She had sacrificed herself for him, and now she was trapped at the Black Sorceress's mercy.

"The Black Sorceress is no common villain." Marcassin murmured as he sat down with the Wizard's Companion, Harmony coming over and rubbing his shoulders, before collapsing on top of him tiredly.

"You can say that again." She said, laying her on head on his shoulder. She looked sick, completely pale, except for her cheek that were flushed pink.

"It's going to take a lot more than us to defeat her." Esther admitted, curling up into a chair. "She's got the power of the White Witch behind her, she's working towards time and space, and now she's got the uncontrollable power of a star at her side."

"A star?" Martha asked from her spot on the floor, and they nodded.

"Aye, mun." Drippy said. "Cap'n Swan was born as one of them there stars! She used to be up in the sky, but the pooer dab got knocked out by hunters, and she's lived like us ever since!"

"Captain Swan does however hold certain powers that no mortal can possess." Marcassin added. "Such as her ability to transform into a wolf beast, and a strange ability to vaporize people with an immense light she can emit from using pure emotion alone."

"And now the Dark Sorceress has that power." The Doctor murmured. "Who knows what she could do with that."

"Nichole's been held under control before." Swaine growled from where he sat. "She can't control herself under too much pressure." Then he got up and got in the Doctor's face. "If she ends up hurting herself again because you let her get captured-!"

"Swaine, stop it!" Esther ran over and grabbed his arm, pulling him away from the Doctor, who hadn't moved. This wasn't the first time someone blamed him for their lost one being taken from them, and it was surely not the last. "Fighting with each other isn't going to solve anything! We need to figure out a way to stop the Black Sorceress!"

"But she's more powerful than anything we've ever faced!" Oliver admitted. "How're we supposed to defeat her? We don't have Pea this time." Marcassin grunted from where he was searching through the Wizard's Companion.

"There must be some sort of ancient spell in here that can help us." He murmured. "Surely we can't be outnumbered here!" Harmony suddenly collapsed onto the ground with a gasp. "Harmony!" Marcassin jumped up as she twitched. It was almost as though she was awake, but she wasn't completely there.

"What's going on?" Oliver asked, rushing over as well. "What's happening to her?"

"She's having a vision!" Marcassin explained. "That's why she's been so sick, she's been preparing for one!"

"She normally only has them when she's sleeping, or when she's been knocked unconscious during battle!" Swaine added, running over and sliding to his knees, feeling her forehead.
