Seven years later...

Oliver paced back and forth, his mind racing, his heart pounding, his feet sore.

"Ollie, won't you sit down?" Philip asked, patting the seat next to him.

"Nah, no thanks, Phil." Oliver told him, thinking of the possibility of his feet creating a rut in the floor. "If I sit down, it'll just be worse."

"Oliver, Myrtle's going to be okay." Denny told him.

"What if she isn't?" Oliver asked.

"She will be." Came a voice that Oliver hadn't heard in a long time. "Harmony foresaw it." Oliver turned around, and smiled when he saw Nichole there. He nearly didn't recognise her out of her coat and captain's hat, but the blonde hair and the mischievous grin gave her away. "She also asked me to tell you to not name the baby after her."

"How'd you know?" Oliver asked. "I haven't seen you in three years."

"Doesn't mean I'm not there." She told him. "I check on you, every full moon. Doesn't mean I stick around for a chat." Then she clapped her hands together. "So, there's a baby on the way! Where's it at?"

"Myrtle's in labor right now." Phil told her. "Ollie couldn't keep his cool, and had to wait out here."

"This is about as terrifying as facing the Black Sorceress times ten!" Oliver told her, knowing only she would know what that felt like.

"Fair dos, Ollie." She told him, remembering her own horrific experience with the Black Sorceress. "Fair dos." That was when they heard crying from the other room. A baby's cry. At once, they all hurried to the door, waiting only a moment before a nurse came out to them.

"Mr. Mason, it is a healthy baby girl. And the mother is doing just fine." Oliver clasped his hands together.

"Please, can I see her?" The nurse nodded, and led Oliver into the quiet room, only allowing him in. Myrtle was there, though she looked as though she might fall asleep at any second, so Oliver tiptoed. The nurse then pointed out a small cradle in the corner, where soft noises came from. Oliver slowly walked over, feeling as though he was on clouds, and peered into the cradle to see his daughter.

She was perfect in his eyes. She was small in every sense of the word, though underneath a small cap they had put on her, damp little tuffs of red hair poked out already. He smiled, a small tear trickling down his cheek.

"Hello, there." He whispered. "Hello, little one."

"Her name?" The nurse asked. "Mrs. Mason said she'd like you to choose, with the exception of Esther as her middle name." So. Myrtle wanted her middle name to be Esther.

Oliver thought of the many names that had run through his head since he first heard Myrtle was pregnant, many of which had been names from his childhood. Aaliyah, Abyssa, Khulan, Helga, Hermione, Martha, Alicia... To name a few. Oliver wanted to name the baby after the bravest woman he knew. Then he knew. He just knew the woman he would name his daughter after. The woman, who he would be proud to name his child after, and who was doing everything in her power to keep him connected with his old life.

"Nicole." He told the nurse. "Her name will be Nicole Esther Mason." The nurse nodded, then walked away to give father and daughter a moment together.

Oliver looked back down at Nicole, who sniffed in her sleep, making him chuckle softly. "Nicole. Suits you. I can already tell. You're going to be a tough young woman. I can already feel it.
