"You sound like you've been gargling nails." The doctor told Sadie, who coughed. She looked at her, upset.
"But how? I haven't been singing as hard as I normally do!" Sadie croaked, Clayton and Hawk standing by.
"Its the fact that your voice isn't used to all the different notes you've been singing lately and the fact that you need a long rest."
"She can't rest! She's got a concert tonight!" Hawk told the doctor. The doctor sighed.
"Well, the only way she's singing tonight is lip singing, because she can't barely talk, let alone sing." Then the doctor left, and Hawk sighed.
"Well, I guess that's what you'll have to do." Sadie rubbed the back of her neck, a little nervous. She'd never had problems like these when she sang with Big Time Rush.
Soon, she was sitting backstage, dressed in a flowy white dress with with a brown vest that had tassels at the end, and big brown cowgirl boots. Her hair was in waves and rested on her shoulders and her throat hurt more than anything.
"And now, please welcome to the stage, Clayton James and Sadie Wits!" She walked out onto the stage, gripping her microphone tightly in her hand. Clayton walked in from the other side, and they met in the middle. Clayton gave her a confident nod, before he began singing. When her part came in the chorus, Sadie sang softly as speakers sang for her around them.
"Sadie! Sadie!" Kendall? Sadie continued to pretend to sing as she looked around.
"Sadie! Down here!" Carlos? She finally found the boys, standing at the front, surrounded by security guards.
"Sadie! You can't stay with Hawk!" James shouted. "He's sending you on a world tour! Not a country tour!" A world tour? He was going to send her all over the world without telling her?
"Come on, Sadie! We're getting you out of here!" She grinned, then dropped her mic.
"Come on, boys!" She called in her craggly voice. 'Let's get out of here!" The crowd was booing, as her part was playing on the speakers and it was obvious she wasn't singing.
Security guards came over to the boys and began to pull them away. Sadie ran to the front of the stage, ready to jump off, but the curtain shut just before she reached it!
"Get her!" Hawk shouted, and she looked around to see more security guards surrounding her, Clayton hurrying backstage.
"Gotcha!" Sadie ducked just as one of the guards tried to grab her around the middle. One went for her feet, and she put her hands on the ground and kicked up, knocking two down and flipping over them, avoiding the other guards. She then ran as fast as she could back stage, looking for the exit and dodging people everywhere.
"Get back here!" She kept running, until she found the boys!
"Sadie!" They exclaimed excitedly. She smiled.
"Guys!" She shouted, her voice still messed up. All of a sudden, a huge rope net came down on top of her! She screamed as it pulled her to the ground, and Hawk came out from around the corner, cackling.
"And you thought that the net was over the top!" He teased his assistant, who sighed.
"It was a bit ridiculous."
"Let me out of here!" Sadie demanded.
"No!" Hawk shouted, just as security guards came over and grabbed the boys by the arms.
"Hawk, just let her go!" Kendall told him. "She doesn't want this anymore! And anyway, the concert's ruined! Rumours will spread, and no one is going to want to come and see her and Clayton anymore!" Hawk chuckled.
"Please. I know how to keep rumours down." Then he snapped his fingers, and two security guards pulled Sadie out of the net and dragged her away. She looked to the guys, frightened.
"Guys!" She whispered, her voice nearly gone. "Help me!"
