The world had fallen. Time had ended. Her body went numb. He was gone.

"YOU BITCH!!" Karina screamed again at Bellatrix, breaking free from Remus's grip and running at the woman, who was cackling darkly as she left the room.

"I killed Sirius Black! I killed Sirius Black! I killed Sirius Black!" She sang as she ran, Karina hot on her heels. "You coming to get me, Potty?" She asked. Karina aimed her wand at her.

"Crucio!" She screamed, and the curse flew from her wand and at Bellatrix, who screamed out in pain, falling over, but not shaking and writhing as Neville had.

Karina didn't care. She ran up to Bellatrix and stood over her, seeing fear, for the first time, in the cold hearted woman's eyes. "I could kill you." She growled through gritted teeth. "Right now, right here, I could say the words and shoot you dead."

SKIPPING AHEAD FOR SUSPENSE PURPOSES (sorry Bri! 😁) AND TO GET TO THE ACTUAL POINT OF THIS CHAPTER!!!

Karina watched as Ministry officials flooded into the room, Daily Prophet reporters following them. She stood to her feet, ignoring Dumbledore, who went to Harry, ignoring Fudge and his questions. She just apparated to the one place she could hide now.

SKIP!!!

"Anything else, Harry? Before I release you?" Dumbledore asked Harry, who had one question.

"Where's Aunt Karina?" Dumbledore raised his eyebrows.

"I'm sorry?"

"She vanished. I saw her apparate away when Fudge and all of the Ministry officials came in." Harry explained. "She was both furious and sad at the same time. Where would she have gone?" Dumbledore nodded, taking this information.

"Ah, Harry. Your Aunt Karina is a very special woman, isn't she?" Harry nodded.

"The best aunt anyone could ask for."

"What do you know of her past? Before you, came to Hogwarts and all of this started?" Harry furrowed his eyebrows, trying to remember what she'd told him.

"Mostly stories about her, Uncle Remus, my dad, Sirius, and Peter Pettigrew. A lot about all the mischief they caused."

"Ah, but did she tell you anything of her adult life? While raising you? Perhaps of the night your parents died?" Harry dug deep into his mind, and realised he'd heard everyone's version of that night.

Everyone's, that is, except for Karina's.

"I remember her that night, myself." Dumbledore told him, without waiting for an answer. "As does Hagrid and Professor McGonagall. She was ready to fight us both to keep you. She had her wand ready, and told us she'd rather become a Squib and live with the Muggles before letting you go." Harry listened to this intently. "Of course, it came with consequences. Professor Lupin often told me when he taught here of how stressed she was and how she held a brave face when you needed her." Harry's face fell.

"She was stressed because of me?" Dumbledore shrugged.

"Well, naturally. Think about it, Harry. She was keeping the Prophet down on how you defeated Lord Voldemort, keeping a steady job as an Auror, your parents and Peter Pettigrew had died, Sirius had been sent to Azkaban, and she was raising you. She is a very brave woman, and has now just lost one of the people she loved the most." Harry shifted in his seat uncomfortably. "Therefore, I would only presume that she is somewhere, where she feels most connected to Sirius. Somewhere, that you may know well." Harry furrowed his eyebrows, trying to think.

"The only places she could be are at home and...." Then he realised. "Grimmauld Place!"
