When they got on the train, Karina and Peter hurried to their compartment to wait for the others. When they got there, they found Molly Prewett sitting there Arthur Weasley.

"Hey, you lot want to join us?" Weasley asked, and Karina nodded, smiling.

"Of course we do, Weasley, its our compartment!"

"Its not like it has your names on it." Molly told them, and Peter shook his head.

"Actually, it does. Look!" Peter pointed under the seat, and both Molly and Weasley looked under to see indeed, the Marauders had scratched their names in the wood under the seat, prior to the end of last year.

"Well, there you go." Weasley murmured, sitting back up and peering behind them. "So where's the rest of the Marauders?"

"James is too busy trying to woo Lily Evans." Karina explained, sitting down.

"Come on, Lily! One date, all I'm asking!"

"Get away from me, Potter!" Came a furious voice. "And take Black and Lupin with you!" And the three boys entered the compartment.

"Strike out again with Evans, have you, James?" Karina teased, and James stuck his tongue out at her.

"I'll get her before seventh year! You see if I don't!" Sirius laughed and gave James a shove.

"Face it, James! You'll never get her! You've struck out more times than anybody I know!" James shoved him back.

"Sod off, Sirius!" Then he looked back to Karina. "Rina, I'm going to need my broom!" Karina rolled her eyes, but reached under the seat and pulled out James's broom as he peered out into the hallway, and jumped up, grabbing his broom.

"Ooh! Lily's back!" He said, jumping onto his broomstick and taking to the air. "Get the door, will you Remus?" Remus rolled his eyes, but opened the door for him.

"There you go, James." The boy grinned.

"Hey, Lily! Care for a ride?" Before the ginger girl could answer, the boy zoomed out of the compartment, grabbing her hand and flying off with her.

"JAMES ALLDRED POTTER!! YOU LET GO OF ME RIGHT NOW!!" She screamed as they took off down the corridors.

"James! Get back here!" Sirius called, before running after James and Lily. Remus sighed.

"You two are going to get us expelled one of these days!" Then he followed after them, Karina jumping up.

"My brother is going to get her killed!" And she followed after the boys.

MARAUDERS

It had become dark by the time they reached Platform nine and three quarters, and everyone was exhausted. The Marauders had gathered back into the compartment, Molly and Weasley getting out of there as soon as they had the chance.

After the disaster with Lily, the trolley witch had grounded Remus, James, Sirius, and Karina to the compartment,  and Sirius, James, and Peter had managed to doze off during the journey.

"Sirius is going to have a window shaped mark on his cheek when he wakes up." Remus remarked as he fought fatigue himself, a book open in both his and Karina's lap.

"Suppose its better than James's button shaped mark he's going to have on his head." Karina told him. James was sleeping with his head in Sirius': lap.

"Not to mention the headache he'll have." Remus replied, not looking up from his book.

The train soon hissed to a stop, waking up Peter from where he lay on the floor, and he jumped up to look out the window.

"Look!" He exclaimed suddenly, pointing out the window. "We're here!" He ran over to James. "Wake up, you! Both of you, wake up!" The boys aroused slowly, Sirius coming off with a mark that looked a sunburn on his cheek and James having a coin shaped indention just above his left eye. "We're here!" And the boys were up at once, all of them grabbing suitcases and pet carriers and broomsticks.

Soon, they were all out on the platform, listening for their parents' calls.

"Regulus! Over here, son!" They overheard Sirius's father call, and Sirius moved closer to Karina and James.

"Boys! Karina! Over here, Marauders!" They heard Mrs. Potter call, and the five of them headed over to her, Remus and Peter's mothers behind the Potters'.

As Peter hugged his mother, she gave him a look. "I still cannot believe that you would rather spend Christmas with the Potters than with us at home!"

"I can!" Remus's mother told her laughingly. "Have you met these five, Rita? They're inseparable, especially around the holidays!"

"And besides, we're taking them to a cabin up by the mountain." Marie explained. "There'll be lots of winter sports for them to play up there and help them burn off loads of energy! You're more than welcome to join us." Mrs. Pettigrew shook her head.

"I'd better not. Clyde would be infuriated if we changed our Christmas plans so close to Christmas!"

"And Lyle and I are spending Christmas with his mother." Mrs. Lupin added. "Poor woman's so old, I worry every Christmas is her last!"

"Mum, Grandma Lupin is only eighty years old." Remus told her pointedly. "You just want her to like you." Mrs. Lupin just covered Remus's mouth.

"Oh, hush you." She told him, making the others laugh.

"Well, maybe we can all get together before we go on the trip!" Marie told the other moms, before helping James, Sirius, and Karina lift their trunks, Snilkin's case, and James's owl Amphitryon onto a trolley. "See you later!" She called, waving to them.

"See you two in a week!" James, Karina, and Sirius called.
