Amy and Rory had decided to take a while off of the TARDIS, so it was just me and the Doctor. and I must admit, it was pretty pleasant. It'd been awhile since I'd heard the Doctor yell "No snogging in the TARDIS!". I'd actually been able to sleep in for once. Like I did today. I woke up at about 10:00 Am on Earth and decided to not get dressed unless the Doctor was taking me somewhere. So I walked out into the console room wearing a pair of shorty shorts, a black tank top, and a giant orange sweatshirt that made me look like i wasn't wearing any pants. It'd been really cold on the TARDIS for some reason. When I walked into the TARDIS console room, the Doctor turned and looked at me, then just stared as if he couldn't stop staring at me. I laughed at him.
"My eyes are up here Doctor!" I told him. He shook his head and smiled. Then he turned back to his machine.
"So! Where do you want to go today? Raxacorousfalibatorous? Jupiter? What about the planet Barcelona? They've got dogs with no noses!" He asked me. I laughed and stood next to him.
"How about you show me the planet I have been wanting to see for a long time? The one that I keep asking to go to?" I mused. He knew what I was talking about, but he played dumb.
"Oh really? Which one would that be?" HE asked. I sighed.
"Gallifrey of course!" His smiled disappeared, and he turned away from me. "Gallifrey? That old planet? That's lame! Why would I want to go home?" Then he turned. "Ooohhh! how about Mars? We could see the old Ice Warriors base!" he said, flipping a few levers. I groaned and flipped a lever back down, stopping the TARDIS.
"Doctor, why won't you take me to Gallifrey? Don't you want me to meet your family?" I asked, leaning onto his side and laying my head on his shoulders. He sighed and put his arm around me.
"I can't take you to Gallifrey because it's not there anymore." He mumbled.
"What happened?" I murmured.
"There was a great Time War. between the Daleks and the Time Lords. Both sides lost and I won. I had to burn it." We had a moment of silence, me just resting my head on his chest and him resting his chin on the top of my head, our arms wrapped around each other. Then I spoke.
"Well, my father always told me that when something bad happens, always think of what might have not happened had the bad thing not happened. What would have not happened had you not burned Gallifrey?" I felt his hearts beating.
"I would have not run away to Earth. I wouldn't have met so many people."
"Like who Doctor?"
"Rose Tyler, Mickey Smith, your father, Martha Jones, Donna Noble, Amy, Rory, you..." He trailed off. I recognised a few names along that spew.
"Martha Jones? Was she a woman with dark skin and was working for her Doctorate at Royal Hope Hospital?" I asked him. I felt him nodding on my head. "She was my best friend. Her and Mels. Martha had been so kind to me when all the other children thought I was weird for being homeschooled by Torchwood. Then the hospital went to the Moon. We tracked it forever, but we couldn't get a signal to keep an eye on the people. When the hospital came down, I assumed the worse. I knew she had her brother's birthday that night and her family was crazy so I didn't want to deal with that. But the next day I went to her apartment to see if she was alright, and she wasn't there." The Doctor buried his head into my shoulder.
"After her brother's birthday, she went with me in the TARDIS. She saved the world once. She then worked for UNIT for awhile. Now she's married to Mickey Smith and their off saving the world in their spare time." I recognised the name Mickey too.
"I remember Mickey too." I said. "He was one of the kids who weren't so nice to me. But then his girlfriend Rose disappeared and suddenly I was his best friend. I helped him search for her that entire year and when she came back, she was never the same. He's gone most of the time too."
"Rose was my first companion after Gallifrey was gone. She went with my ninth and tenth regenerations and they fancied her. Now she's trapped in a parallel world. I haven't seen her since." The Doctor moved his head down to where our foreheads touched, our lips inches apart.
"Have you had any love since?" I whispered. He was breathing hard.
"I do now." Then he leaned in, and kissed me. Sparks flew in front of my closed eyes and I felt a soothing warmth go over my body. I felt a burning sensation as he took my hand in his. We slowly pulled apart and I looked at my hand. IT read "Soul Mate." I was confused.
"Doctor, what's that supposed to mean?" I asked him. He held my hand close and looked down. I could see the same thing on his hand.
"Airiana, it means that you're a Time Lord. and that we belong together."
