"Your Majesty? Are you here?" Oliver called as they walked through the Ivory Tower, searching for Queen Cassiopeia.
"Are you sure she's in? It's awful quiet around here." The Doctor asked as they headed towards the Council Room that lead straight through to her throne room.
"Queen Cassiopeia has had Nazcaa closed off for the last few years. She's been trying to rebuild her kingdom, so the only people who are really allowed in are us and the other nobles." Esther explained. "She doesn't have any staff or anything to care for the palace. She wants to wait until her kingdom is something she can be proud of."
They passed through the Council Room to the Throne Room, where they found Cassiopeia in a small cage! It was barely big enough for her to sit up on her knees, sitting next to her own throne, the bars of the cage radiating with what looked like black smoke.
"Queen Cassiopeia!" She looked up at Oliver's voice, grabbing onto the bars looking terrified.
"You can't be here! Oliver, you need to go!" She cried out as they ran closer, looking confused.
"What do you mean?" Oliver asked, crouching down next to her. "Why are you in a cage?"
"She's the Queen you mentioned, Oliver?" Martha asked, a little unsure as she looked at the helpless woman on the floor.
"You need to go!" Cassiopeia begged. "Before she comes back!"
"Before who comes back?" Swaine demanded, when the double doors suddenly flew open, sending a strong gust of wind through the room. They all shouted, covering their faces to block them from the wind, Oliver covering the front of Cassiopeia's cage while the Doctor wrapped an arm around Martha to keep her from flying back, Swaine grabbing Nichole's arm for the same reason as Drippy tumbled back to be caught by Esther.
The cause of this wind was a woman. She had long black hair that curled near her waist being held back by a black crown, her face covered with a metallic dark gray mask with purple jewelled eyes. She wore a pure black suit with gray gloves and a long purple cape with the inside looking as those it were the night sky. She was terrifyingly familiar.
"But, she's..." Esther gasped, Swaine, Oliver, and Drippy staring at her incredulously, the Doctor, Martha, and Nichole just trying to understand what was happening.
"Isn't that Cassiopeia's other persona, mun?" Drippy called out, jumping up. "The White Witch?"
"Certainly looks like her!" Swaine remarked, but Oliver shook his head.
"But it can't be! Cassiopeia was the White Witch!"
"That is correct, boy." The woman spoke, lowering herself to the ground. "I am so much more than what she was before. I am the darkness within, the evil we are all filled with. I am the Black Sorceress. And you have fallen right into my trap."
"The Black Sorceress?" Nichole questioned, the Doctor stepping up.
"Right then, perhaps you have the answers I'm looking for if you've taken the person I thought might have the answers. Where's my TARDIS?"
"Time and Relative Dimensions in Space." She purred, gesturing to the other side of the throne room, where the blue police box sat, surrounded by a magic circle that matched the smoky look on Cassiopeia's cage. They had been so distracted by Cassiopeia, they had failed to notice it straight away. "The box bleeds so much power. The power I crave to make this world perfect."
"It doesn't belong to you!" Oliver shouted at her.
"Let Queen Cassiopeia go!" Esther demanded, running up to stand by the Doctor.
"And now I have the Time Lord and the Pure-Hearted One." It was as if she didn't hear them speaking. "Two of the most powerful being in this world now. Perfect additions to my collection. The most powerful mind, and the most powerful heart." Swaine put an arm across Oliver, and Martha ran up to grab the Doctor's arm.
"You won't touch them!" she shouted, and the Black Sorceress waved her staff, sending another large gust of wind over them.
"SILENCE!" She shouted, this time actually starting to knock them over. "I NEED POWER FOR MY PERFECT WORLD! I NEED THE POWER FROM THE DOCTOR'S MIND AND THE PURE HEARTED ONE!"
One Battle I Don't Want to Write Later...
"Doctor!" Oliver shouted as the Doctor fell to the ground, spasming as the lightning blast went through one of his hearts, but was immediately shot down by the same lightning blast, knocking him unconscious.
"Oliver!" Swaine ran at him, digging through his pockets for a Phoenix Feather, but having no such luck.
"Swaine, get him out of here!" Esther shouted, flinching when Gogo got hit with a different spell. "We'll get the Doctor! We're not strong enough!"
"Right!" Swaine scooped up Oliver in his arms and ran out of the palace, holding Oliver's head against his shoulder.
"Martha! Esther! Get the Doctor! I'll cover you!" Nichole told them, before pulling out her sword and following them to block spells as Esther and Martha lifted the Doctor by under his arms, helping him towards the door while Gogo and Jabber fought closer for them.
"YOU WON"T ESCAPE ME SO EASILY!" The Black Sorceress shouted, casting another spell just as Nichole turned into her wolf form, running at her and getting hit with the spell, but was only knocked back, surprising the Black Sorceress. "The wolf pirate. The star captain." She spoke, recognizing Nichole. "And here I thought that you were from the world I could not yet access. Another perfect addition!" She then sent out a dark mass of a spell, letting it wrap itself around Nichole and squeeze her until it suddenly popped and Nichole whimpered, falling to the ground.
"Nichole!" Esther shouted, turning to run to her friend and nearly dropping the Doctor, but Martha grabbed her arm as she watched the same smoky black magic surround Nichole and drag her toward the Black Sorceress.
"Esther, we need to go! We'll come back!" Esther practically teared up, but she followed Martha's orders, helping her carry the Doctor out the door and out to Tengri, where Swaine waited with a still unconscious Oliver.
"Where's Nichole?" He asked as the girls lay the Doctor down and Esther took the reigns on Tengri, flying away as more of the Black Sorceress's tendril-like magic tried to follow them out the door, but was limited to the doorway. "Esther?" Esther stayed quiet, blinking away her tears. "Martha? Are either of you going to tell me what went wrong in there?"
"Nichole got captured," Martha told him sadly. "She recognized her as a star and took her hostage. There was nothing we could do."
"What?!" Swaine shouted, trying to grab the reigns from Esther, but she swerved him. "We need to go back!" He shouted, trying to grab them from her. "Give them back, Esther! We need to go back for Nichole!"
"Don't you think if I thought we were strong enough, I would?!" She cried, wiping her eyes. "We're not ready to face the Black Sorceress! We need to go back!"
