Ending for Karina Potter, Mini Marauder

"Sirius! Are you coming? We've got to get to the Potters'!" Karina called, dumping a few more Chocolate Frogs into her purse.
"If you could wait long enough for me to be in the bathroom to dump three more Chocolate Frogs in your purse for yourself later, then I'm sure that James, Lily, and Harry can wait a few more minutes for me!" Karina sighed as she took out the chocolate.
"Fine! But I'm going on ahead! See you later, Padfoot!" Then she apparated to Godric's Hollow and snuck over to the Potters'. She then knocked on the door.
"Prongs? Lily? Its me, Karina!" James opened the door hurriedly, and Karina knew something was up.
"Oh! Hey, Karina. What's going on?" He asked. She held up her purse.
"I was just coming by for dinner. And I brought some candy for Harry!" Lily laughed from behind James.
"Rina, Harry's teeth are still coming in! He can't eat candy!"
"He can suck on the Chocolate Frogs!" Karina told her, coming in, where she saw Harry standing up and holding onto the coffee table. "There's my little Pronglette!" She cooed, handing him a frog. Harry laughed and took the frog, immediately beginning to drool on it. Lily laughed again.
"I'll be right back! I have to get changed!" She was covered in flour. As soon as she went upstairs, Karina crossed her arms at James.
"What?" He asked. She sighed, then bent down and reached under the coffee table, pulling out James's broom.
"Really James?" She asked, giving him a look. "You were going to sneak out and take Harry Trick or Treating, weren't you?" James sighed and flopped down on the couch.
"Well, he's a year old now! I thought that it would be fun for him! Just for a bit!" Karina sighed.
"James, you know you can't. You-Know-Who is already after you, Harry, and Lily. To go flying around in the middle of the night with him, well it'd be just like sending up a flare!" James stood and tousled Harry's hair.
"I know. Its just..." He sighed again. "You lot and the rest of the Order give so much to protect Lily, Harry, and I. I just want to get out there, help you out. After all, its my family's life that's being protected. The least I can do is return the favour." Karina patted James's arm, feeling sorry for him.
"I know, Prongs, I know. But we take pride in keeping you safe. Not to mention all of the other Muggle-borns out there." Then she saw a lynx Patronus appear in the room and Kingsley Shacklebolt's booming voice came through.
"Karina, there were more attacks. We're going to need your help." Karina sighed, then created her own Patronus.
"I'll be there in a moment. I'm with James." Then she sent the fox off, the lynx disappearing. James sighed too.
"You'd better go. I'll just wait here." Karina wished she could make her big brother feel better like she used too. A good joke and a prank on Snape always cheered him up. But she stood.
"I'll be back. Hang in there, Prongs." Then she apparated to Kingsley, who was in the village by Hogsmeade. "Who is it this time, Kingsley?"
"The Warpers. They were Muggles. Their twins showed magic a few years back and they moved here to be closer." Karina stared at the Dark Mark that was above the house, clenching her fists. "Not only that. The Pettigrews were taken down, and two more families." Karina turned her head so fast she almost got whiplash.
"The Pettigrews? Peter's parents?" She asked, astonished. "But Peter is a pureblood! Why would they attack his family?" Shacklebolt shrugged.
"Merlin only knows." She sighed, then looked around.
"Where are the others?"
"If anything, Peter must be mourning his family, Sirius went to check on Peter, and its a full moon for Remus." Karina nodded.
"Right, and I'll bet Arthur's busy with his lot and anyone else is at Hogwarts." That was when Karina got a weird feeling, and looked around. Shacklebolt noticed and readied his wand.
"Karina, what is it?"
"I've got a bad feeling. Something's wrong." Shacklebolt became concerned.

"Perhaps you should check on the Potters. Make sure nothing happened." Karina nodded, then apparated back to Godric's Hollow. She ran into the house, and gasped in horror when she saw the house in shambles and James lying on the ground, dead.
"James!" She cried, then she heard something else. Someone else was crying.
"Not Harry! Please not Harry!" Lily!
"Step aside, foolish girl!" Voldemort! And she could hear Harry sobbing too.
"Lily! Harry!" She ran up the stairs, the world seeming to be in slow motion as she heard Voldemort shout,
"Avada Kedavra!" And heard Lily's dying scream. Then she heard him shout it again, and came in as the green light flashed, and she was nearly blinded. When she looked back, Voldemort was gone, and the only people in the room were Lily's dead body, and Harry, who still cried in his crib! Karina ran over to him, taking him in her arms, crying at the sight of him.
"Oh Harry! Sweet Harry!" She cried, holding him close and falling to her knees. That was when another person entered the room. She looked up, and saw Snape!
"Severus!" She cried, but Snape didn't answer her. He just stared at Lily, tears forming in his own eyes.
"He promised me she'd live!" He shouted, falling to his own knees and lifting Lily into his arms, holding her close. Both adults just sat there and cried, Harry sobbing with them. Then Snape apparated out of the room, not even saying goodbye to Karina. Karina looked to Harry, and knew she had to get him out. So she gave Lily one last look.
"I promise you Lily." She said softly, brushing her sister in law's hair out of her face. "Even if it means my own death, I will take care of Harry. I won't let anything happen to him." Then she stood and walked out of the room, taking Harry with her and saying a last goodbye to James, only bending down to close his glassy eyes.
