Looking Back

Fiona sighed as she leaned on her chair. She groaned as her hands found their way to her face. It slowly slid down as she stared at her glowing laptop screen among the darkness. A single word. A word that could hopefully start a sentence. A sentence to start a stanza. A stanza to start a chapter. A chapter to continue a book. "Ugh!" She exclaimed as she slammed her face on her crossed arms that now rested on her desk. She muttered and grumbled under her breath, questioning her life choices while muttering profanity every now and then. "Come on, Fiona...." She sucked a breath. She let it go before removing her arms and rolling her attention towards a picture frame. She stared at it. It was a picture of them in their early years. 'Happy 17th Birthday!!!' It wrote on the bottom part of the picture with a red marker. She smiled. Quite sadly.

"Your majesty!" A muffled voice of a female came from outside her door. "His Highness is looking for you! The counsels need you to resolve a situation once more!" She groaned, to herself. "Just a minute, Artemis! Let me just change to my," she almost gagged, "gown!" Footsteps that walked away could be heard as the queen shook her head and snapped her fingers. The lights turned on. She kicked the floor as her chair rolled away from her work desk. She never realized how much human technology she had brought with her when it was time for her to be crowned queen of a new kingdom.  She continued to stare for a few, minutes maybe. Lost and deep in her thoughts. Until a ding from her laptop broke her out of it. New message? She raised a brow as she gestured for the chair to roll towards the desk. She clicked a few buttons before opening it. It was from an unknown source. She read it, mouthing some of the words. Her eyes dilated. "What the..." Tears welled up in her eyes. "Is that...is that..." Tears of joy rolled down her face as a smile formed on her mouth. She was breathing heavily as she stood up, her hands holding the sides of her head as she walked around in a circle. "What...oh my goodness... Is that.. is that really true? Oh my Freya! They're...they're.." She scoffed in disbelief as her smile only seemed to grow and grow. "I can't believe that after..after all these years they finally decide to—"

"Mommy!" A little girl's voice called out. Fiona froze on the spot before shaking her head. "Just a second, sweetheart! Go find daddy!" Fiona exclaimed as small footsteps pattered away. She scrambled towards the laptop as she didn't bother with sitting down. She tapped away on the keys, her eyes following with every new letter added in quick speed. She clicked send, standing up straight and reading it to be sure.

'Then let's meet up again. At the studio.'

"Artemis!" She exclaimed as quick footsteps arrived not a second later. The door opens as the called woman stands there. "Yes your majesty?" Fiona faced her, her face still beaming with happiness. "Get ready." Fiona's smile only grew. "We're going to earth!"

I know its short and uts not what you were expecting but SCHOOL IS HARD, OKAY?! And with the fact of us not being allowed to use our phones in the school campus even if on a break, doesn't help.

SO YEAH. I'LL UPDATE REAL CHAPTER BY LIKE... THIS WEEKENED OR THE NEXT.
