"Miss Mendes?"

Nick looked up from her worksheet, seeing that the teacher had called her up to her desk. The young brunette glanced around, everyone working on a practice test, and when you're doing that, you are not supposed to move at all. But Nick nodded and got up, moving over to the desk, but all the teacher did was give her a paper slip with a note that said that she needed to come see her after school.

Nervously, the girl headed back to seat, not being able to focus on the practice test because she didn't know what she would have gotten in trouble for. 

Sure, she had a record, but it was confidential. Meaning that not even the school could see it, at least not unless Nick did something that could call for expulsion. Which she definitely didn't do.

After two more classes, Nick was back at her locker and gathering her things, but after remembering something, she quickly headed out of the building. Nick ran over to where Jack was waiting, playing with a skateboard, and she smiled as she ran to him. "Hey, um, can you wait here?"

Jack looked up at her, eyebrows furrowed but smiling. "Uh, sure."

"Okay, thanks. I'll be right back." She said, before running back into the building, heading back to Mrs. Moroles class. 

Nick took a second to catch her breath before she headed into the classroom, fidgeting with the note. "Um... you wanted to see me?"

"Yes, have a seat." Mrs. Moroles nodded and Nick sat at the desk in front of the teacher's desk, as the teacher looked up with an arched eyebrow. "Do you know why you're here, Miss Mendes?"

Nick just shook her head, so the teacher turned her laptop around, allowing Nick to read the title of the video and article pulled up

'TEN YEAR OLD TELLS OFF THE SENATOR'

Nick grimaced a bit, "I...uh, I didn't really..." She shook her head, "I'm sorry I called in sick... but I already had a talk with the guidance counselor about that."
