It happened so fast that she could hardly register what was happening as the bus was sent in the air, and Nick fell onto her back and slid a bit, but managed to grab onto a seat with both hands, a scream escaping her lips and her eyes squeezing shut as the bus spun in the air.

The bus then landed hard on it's back, causing Nick to drop to the ceiling painfully at impact, her heart feeling as though it stopped as the bus still skidded across the overpass, ramming into other vehicles before it eventually stopped moving.

Nick coughed and tried to force herself to breath, feeling warmth trailing down the side of her face, but as she brought a hand up, she was at least thankful that it wasn't the same spot as where she had already gotten two head injuries. She turned onto her side and tried to blink through the blurriness that covered her vision, before she got to her knees and eventually her feet.

But once the bus moved and seemed to slide a bit, Nick quickly fell back to her hands and knees, looking over and out the front windshield that was cracked, her eyes widening as she quickly looked around, soon realizing that half of the bus was somehow balancing over the edge of the overpass. From her movement though, it seemed to be swaying back and forth, and each time it seemed to be going forward even a bit more.

And that fall was either give her a lot of broken bones or kill her.

She knew she had to move.

Nick held her breath as she got to her feet, hissing in pain and looking down to see that her left thigh had even more blood on it, a piece of broken glass or something had to of cut through the scarf that she had wrapped around it.

The girl looked up, trying to think of how she was going to do this, and reached up to grip the seats above her for help.

"Sir, it seems someone is hiding in the bus." JARVIS said just as Tony flew overhead, still worried about where Nick was, but when he looked down and saw the Chitauri heading away from the school bus right before something blasted it, he realized that the AI was right. Still worried about his daughter, Tony hesitated but eventually knew he had to help whatever civilians were hiding in the bus.

Iron Man watched as the bus landed and skidded upside down, before eventually stopping with half of the big vehicle over the edge of the overpass. But when he headed towards it, he also noticed that whoever was inside it was moving as the bus began to wobble.

Nick, inside the bus, forced herself to take careful steps forward, before stopping and squeezing her eyes shut when she felt the bus slide even more over the edge. The fear and the pain made tears actually sting her eyes, but she tried to push passed it, biting her bottom lip as she tried to move to the back of the bus, since she had landed in the middle.

Then the bus slid even more and began going over faster, causing her heart to skip a beat as she began running towards the back, realizing that the slow and steady wasn't doing anything to help either. But her running made it worse, and right before she made it to the back door, the girl fell to her hands and knees again, trying to grip at the little divots and such on the ceiling of the bus.
