BUCHAREST
Nick, who was now in black jeans, a white tank top with an army green jacket over it, and the floral combat boots - was standing at the corner of the street. Her hair was pulled into a side braid and she had a dark blue baseball cap on to hide her face, as well as a white scarf around her neck that was a light material.
She had her phone out and was texting the group chat that she apologized for bailing more than once, before saying that she was sick and was staying with some family outside of the city for the time being. Since she also didn't know when she was going to head back.
In this time, Steve Rogers had walked into the small apartment that was a bit rundown looking.
He carefully looked around, in his Captain America suit, as he noted the certain things, including how there was a mattress on the ground with a pillow and blanket on it.
The windows were blocked by newspapers and some curtains, and as he looked around at the minimum of Bucky's things, he then found himself walking over to the small narrow fridge which had something on it that he noticed. He took off the small notebook, and began opening it to certain pages - one of which had a photo of Captain America saluting at the camera.
But as he looked at the picture, he didn't hear when someone else came into the room.
"Heads up, Cap." Sam Wilson's voice came through his earpiece, since the Falcon was on the roof. "German Special Forces, approaching from the South."
"Understood."
Then he paused and looked over his shoulder, before turning around to face Bucky, as he lowered the notebook. He looked over his old friend, who was in a baseball cap and jeans, and layers - before he asked. "Do you know me?"
Bucky looked at him for a couple moments, "You're Steve." Then he nodded, "I read about you in a museum."
Nick finally had to put her phone away as she began walking more towards the building, keeping her head low as she spoke through the comms. "They've set the perimeter."
But Steve just set the notebook down, cautiously looking at Bucky. "I know you're nervous, and you have plenty of reason to be. But you're lying."
"I wasn't in Vienna." Bucky changed the subject, shaking his head. "I don't do that anymore."
"They're entering the building." Nick warned him, as she crossed the street, heading around the apartment building - and not even getting a second look from any of the task force men.
Steve glanced to the window before looking back at his old war buddy. "Well, the people who think you did, are coming here now. And they're not planning on taking you alive."
