Chapter 7: Trouble Magnet

"Whoa, is that Mr. Stark?" Jack suddenly asked, making Nick look up, following where the boy was looking, and the girl's jaw dropped. Tony was now outside in a blue racing jumpsuit, jumping over the barrier and onto the track before turning to speak into the News camera. "Well, what's the use of having and owning a race car if you don't drive it?"

"Oh my god." Nick's shook her head, before looking over. "Pepper, look."

When Pepper looked up and saw Tony getting into the race car, she quickly looked over. "Natalie. Natalie!"

"Yes, Miss Potts?" The red head came over, Pepper gesturing towards the TV. "What do you know about this?"

"This is the first I've known of it." Natalie looks from the screen then back at Pepper, who lets out a breath. "This- this cannot happen."

"Absolutely. I understand. How can I help you?"

"Where's Happy?"

"He's waiting outside." Natalie answers, and Pepper definitely looked stressed. "Okay, get him. I need him."

"Right away."

"Pep...?" Nick spoke up, the woman looking at the girl, and knowing what she meant, the woman shook her head. "I don't know."

What the hell was Tony doing?

The girls then watched the racing start, both definitely worried, but Jack was cluelessly smiling. "Man, he's awesome."

But then a man suddenly goes onto the rack, taking off a helmet and began walking in the middle of the road as he rips open the front of the orange jacket, revealing a weird machine strapped to his back and torso, with what looked like an reactor, like Tony's, chest piece. He then whips out two long whips that suddenly spark with electricity, burning off the rest of the top of the orange jumpsuit.

"Oh my god. Nick, I need you to-" Pepper began getting up, but that's when her and Jack suddenly realized the girl's disappearance. "Nick?" Pepper looked around, "Nick!" But the little girl was gone.

When Natalie came back over to the table and gestured to where Happy was at the door, holding up the red suitcase, Pepper quickly told the red head. "Watch him." While pointing to the 11-year-old boy, who still didn't really know what was going on, but he was worried about where Nick had gone, and so was Pepper as she told Natalie. "And try to find Nick."

Then Pepper ran out with Happy.

Nick, on the other hand, was already outside and at the race. She was running along the outside of the track, looking through the fence gate that surrounded the entire track, and trying to catch up to the strange man, already knowing that he was there for Tony. And the fear made Nick run faster, not even knowing what her plan was.

When the man, Ivan (but no one knew that), suddenly whips at the first car that came zooming around the corner, he cuts it in half, causing it to go flying and crashing. And caused Nick to run faster, having to shove through the crowds of people running and screaming as they tried to head the opposite way as her.
