It was about another month later after Nick finally began not closing herself off at school, actually becoming somewhat friends with Peter and Ned, and talking more with Harry than she used to.
But even though she was finally happy at school, that didn't mean that when JARVIS woke her up early, she was happy.
The girl was beyond annoyed since it was Saturday, so she was finally allowed to sleep in since she had basically been exhausting herself with trying to catch up during the school weeks. But when the AI wouldn't let her fall back asleep, the 14-year-old got out of bed and left her room, wearing her pajamas and barefooted as she basically stormed to the main floor, her hair in a messy bun.
Once she got out of the elevator, she was met with Clint and Natasha sitting on the couches, having been talking until the two noticed her. Clint letting out a laugh, "Well, someone just woke up."
"Cállate, hombre pájaro." [Shut up, bird man.] The girl grumbled, earning a laugh from Natasha, who then looked at Clint when the girl stormed over to the lab. "Just wait until your little girl is a teenager."
Clint made a noise, obviously not thrilled about it - especially after having spend a lot of time with Nick and her attitude.
"¿Por qué diablos JAR me está despertando a las 7 de la mañana?" [Why the hell is JAR waking me up at 7 in the morning?] Nick demanded when she stepped into the lab that Tony and Bruce were in, making Tony quickly click out of something that was opened up on his computer, while Banner ended up leaving the room - since he and the rest of the team knew how awkward it was to be in the same room with the father daughter duo when there was an argument or something close to it.
But then Nick's eyebrows furrowed, having seen a certain word on the holographic screen that Tony had exited from. "What's an ultron?"
"What's a what?" Tony shrugged off as he turned to her, changing the subject quickly. "Why aren't you dressed yet?"
"Dressed? For what?" Nick threw her arms out, blowing a strand of hair from her face, since it had fallen in the middle of her face. "There's no school today."
"Which is exactly why I thought it was the perfect time for you to finally have your honorary Avenger moment today." Tony said as though it was nothing, but Nick furrowed her eyebrows. "What the hell is that supposed to mean?" Then the girl crossed her arms over her chest with a raised eyebrow, "And I'm pretty sure that I became an Avenger when aliens came out of the sky and I saved your life."
Tony gave an exasperated eyeroll and sigh, "Then how about you go get ready since the Avengers have another lead on Loki's scepter."
Nick's eyes suddenly widened, "Wait, do you mean..." She trailed off, before smiling and clasping her hands together. "I get to go?"
