The minute Peter Parker had gotten home, he really wanted to go see Nick and show off his new suit, but when he got there, he found that she wasn't at her place. So, he had to go back home and deal with Aunt May asking questions about the fight he had been involved in.
Nick hadn't gotten back to her apartment until the next day, with Tony coming with her to make sure that the high tech bracelet actually worked (so they put it on at the compound and throughout the car ride, had tested her powers - and thankfully they didn't work) before it then clicked and allowed her to take it off when she walked through her doorway.
Tony decided to stay with her for the next couple nights, and he'd go back to the compound during the day as she was at school. But after they had dinner and a movie night (where she put on Moana), the two finally headed to bed around 11 pm.
She went up to her upper floor and turned off all the lights, as he went to the guest room downstairs - but as Nick was laying in her bed trying to sleep, the girl couldn't help but toss and turn.
After a good thirty minutes of not being able to fall asleep, she just turned onto her back with an exasperated breath and looked up at the ceiling of her bedroom - her eyes looking at the glow in the dark stars. She then eventually pulled out her phone, seeing that the boys were all still awake and talking over the group chat, causing her to smile and decide to text back.
They were talking about what they should do over Spring Break, then Harry was saying that of course Peter is no longer sick, and Nick is finally back from her "family thing" when it's Saturday night. Meaning that the group hadn't seen each other for days, and they hadn't actually had a hangout session for, in Harry's words "forever ago and never again".
Nick honestly wasn't sure how it happened, but through the laughs and everything, with her and Peter assuring that they'd all hangout soon - Ned had said a "bet you wouldn't even sneak out to hang, 'cause you guys aren't true friends".
Which spiraled on to an actual dare that the friends all gave each other, and Peter calling the other three's bluff, saying that he'd only go if someone actually came to him... and that's why Nick had gotten out of bed and threw on jeans, a hoodie, took her knee brace off, thinking that it'd just be a few hours and she really didn't need any questions about what happened because she'd already have to explain the scrape on her chin.
