When Nick woke up the next day, the young girl slipped on her slippers and left the room that she had claimed when they first stayed at Stark Tower to try and build everything. She tiredly left the room, rubbing her eyes as she entered the living room loft area, before making her way over to the counter and began pouring herself a bowl of cereal.

But before she even went to grab the milk, the girl's watch began beeping, making her eyes look at it, before they widened. "Shit." She ran out of the living room and back to her room to quickly change into some skinny jeans, the newer pair of black and floral combat boots she had, she then quickly pulled on a white long sleeve, before grabbing the black leather jacket that she hadn't given back to Tony within the two years.

Nick then shoved all her things into her purple suitcase before pulling it out with her, but once at the elevator, her watch went off again... making her curse under her breath.

She missed her flight.

The girl left her suitcase by the elevator, propping it next to the wall, before she walked away from it while lifting up her wrist. After pulling up the basically holographic projection of the jet Tony had put her on, the girl's eyes furrowed together as she realized that she had put in the wrong time for the first alarm, meaning she had missed her flight twenty minutes ago anyways.

With a breath, the girl rolled her eyes and plopped herself down on the couch after shutting off the projection. She thought for a moment, not really wanting to tell Tony about the missed flight since she had promised him the night before that she'd be heading back to Malibu. And she really didn't want to call the Williams that she had missed her flight, since she was supposed to spend the next couple days with them.

After a while of contemplating what to do, Nick eventually got up and moved back over to where her cereal was. She used her watch to pull up a projection, which she then used both hands to enlarge and move with her, before she put on a movie. She began watching it as she poured the milk into her cereal and began eating, knowing that it was practically lunch time... since she had really slept in.

The 12-year-old waited until she was finished with her food, and the movie was done, before she finally got into contact with the Williams. She video-called them on a second projection she had pulled up, and as she pulled her hair into a ponytail, the girl explained how she had accidentally slept in and missed her flight, then she vaguely explained that Tony had left early this morning because of work.

After talking to the Willams for about two hours, each family member taking turns, which included Nick talking to 2-year-old Benny even though he couldn't quit get out sentences yet. Quincy was the last one since they had been waiting for him to get out of the new high school he had transferred to this year (since he was five years older than Nick - so he was 17 now) and he didn't want to be in the prep school anymore that's schooling ranged from elementary school, middle school, then to freshman year.

Nick and Quincy talked for another hour, and by the time they hung up, it was nearing about 5. She waited a bit longer before she eventually called Tony, and when he answered, she put up her best innocent smile. "Okay, so, you know how I was supposed to make that flight back to Malibu?"

Tony, who looked as though he was in some sort of lab, gave her a look. "You missed your flight, didn't you?"

"In my defense, my alarm wasn't set correctly." She tried, but he just raised an eyebrow. "Weren't you the one who set it?"

Nick grimaced, before forcing a smile again as she changed the subject. "Whoa, where are you?"

Tony shrugged it off, "SHIELD."

"Did you get the bad guy?" Nick questioned, and he couldn't help the light chuckle at how innocent she sounded. "Yes. We got the bad guy. Now we're just trying to figure out his scepter power thing and where the Tesseract is."

"Cool." She grinned, plopping herself down on the couch. "So, now that I'm stuck at the Tower, is there anything I can do to help?"

"No-" Tony cut himself off, pausing as he thought. "You know what, actually, JARVIS is going to send you something. I need you to hack into it and get me the results asap."

Nick nodded, "Sure. Who am I hacking though?"

"Senior Nick." Tony shrugged, and Nick became confused for a second, before her eyes widened. "Fury?! You want me to hack into SHIELD?!" Tony thought that she was going to say that it was stupid or dangerous, but then the girl beamed. "Awesome!"

"Oh, and if you figure it out quickly, then you won't be grounded for missing your flight." He said before he hanging up, causing her to roll her eyes but she moved over to the desk. She turned on the computer holographic projection and opened the thing that JARVIS sent. She then pulled her hair into a side braid before getting to work.

It wasn't until nearly 4 in the morning the next day, did Nick finally crack it, causing her to smile as she fist pumped the air and spun the desk chair. "Yes!" But when she turned back towards the screen and saw what she had cracked into, her smile dropped. "Shit."

Fury and SHIELD was going to use the Tesseract to make weapons.

Nick quickly turned to her watch and called Tony, who answered. "Can't talk right now, Bambi."

"Tony, I finished and-" She began, but then there was another voice. "Who are you talking to?"

"Nobody." Tony shook his head, and suddenly Bruce Banner's head popped up with furrowed eyebrows, barely seeing a glimpse of the girl on Tony's watch, before Tony hung up.

"No- wait. And he hung up." Nick rolled her eyes, groaning slightly before she turned her attention back to the screen and worked on sending everything to Tony.
