Nick ran and ran through the forest, where it still seemed like the snow was trying to completely melt away as spring had come. But right now, it was dark out and after being stuck in that place for however long, she could feel the aftermath of it.

The 14-year-old quickly ducked her head when there was a loud explosion noise, since the few Ultron legions had began shooting at her with blasts. Her heart was pounding so hard and fast in her chest that she could feel it in her throat and hear it in her ears, but she just pushed forward, trying to move through the trees to lose them. But the longer she ran, the more everything hurt, especially her stomach, since she hadn't had anything to eat in a few days.

Nick knew that she couldn't outrun them, especially when another blast hit a tree right next to her, causing the girl to fall to the ground as she squeezed her eyes shut so that pieces of the shattered wood wouldn't go in them. She felt a few scratches on the side of her face, but she ignored them as she struggled to get to her feet, her wrists still in handcuffs.

She ran faster, chancing glances behind her before she then looked forward, her eyes widening as she quickly skidded to a stop right at the edge of a wide and fast moving river. There was no way she could see around it, and after another blast nearly hit her, the girl knew that she didn't exactly have a choice. It was either the 90 percent chance of Ultron killing her, or the 50/50 percent chance that she'd survive this. So, with a deep breath, Nick stepped backwards before sprinting and jumping into the water, which was deeper and way colder than she had realized.

Nick kept her eyes squeezed shut and her breath held as she felt herself getting sucked under more as the fast stream pulled her father away from the bots - and she could only pray that they didn't see in her in the water and would return to Ultron.

She waited until her lungs began hurting before she kicked from the ground beneath her and managed to get to the surface, gasping in air and coughing up water as her eyes were looking around. She quickly tried to blink through the blurry vision as she looked around and around for any way out of the water, but it wasn't long before she was suddenly pulled back under the stream and when she tried to get to the surface again - she was trapped under ice.

Nick wanted to scream for help as panic set in and she tried everything to break it while she was still getting pulled with the water, her nails raking across the bottom of the ice as she tried to pull her feet up to try and kick, but nothing worked.

Then suddenly her entire body was jerked when her foot got caught in an overgrown root under the water, causing her to stay stuck in one place, which was even more scary when she could barely even get her hands to press against the ice. She tried scratched and punching - feeling her knuckles split open, but she just moved through it because she could feel her lungs and body getting even more tired as the cold seemed to get worse and made it harder for her to move.
