The ending of October. The heat in LA is replaced by chilly weather. The days are getting longer and darker but what it also brings is; Halloween. I don't know if I ever told you guys this but Anna and I love this party. There is something about dressing up and everything that always gets me into an amazing mood.
The preparations are just as much fun as the party it's. So, that is why Anna and I have been running around town all day, trying to find the perfect costume. Easier said than done.
"What about this?." I hold up a costume of a 'creepy nurse' up in the air, for Anna to see. We have found this place, in a side street of Rodeo Drive and we immediately felt in love with it. There are racks full of costumes. A little Halloween lover would indulge here in this shop.
"Too long and too boring." Anna yells after a couple of seconds. I told you, picking out a costume with her is serious business. "We need something that will wow everyone tonight."
Tonight, we have a party at a place that is called Drais. It's on top of the W hotel in Hollywood. It's because Shawn received an invited to this party by the owners, otherwise I would have never go there. To be honest with you, I didn't even knew that the place existed. All I know is that it's a party that attracts celebrities. And you know, where celebrities are, there is paparazzi. I have to make sure that Shawn and I don't arrive at the same moment. The paparazzi is already hot on our heels and I really don't need to stir up the flames yet again.
"We have been for over a hour."- I mumble as I walk to Anna, who is busy inspecting every single costume there is in this store. "I don't know what to look for anymore." Everything I show her, is not good enough. The best thing I can do, is to sit back and to let her pick out whatever. It's not like she will ever give in. She has a specific idea of how I should look anyway and I would be stupid to interfere with that.
"Do you know what Shawn is wearing?." She says, without even looking at me.
"I don't know. He didn't wanted to tell me."
"Yea, me neither. I tried though but the kid is a hard one to crack." I don't want to know what she did to make him speak. I am sure that it was a traumatic experience for him. I know that she wants me to match with Shawn's costume, just like she wanted her costume to match with Brian's but the guys laughed at the idea. Of course. Me, myself I am also not as much of a fan of that idea but don't tell her that I said that, otherwise she will kill me.
"Tell me about it..." I laugh softly and shake my head. I follow her through the store like a puppy, bored as fuck, until she screams.
"I got it." She says as he pulls two costumes out of the racks.
I look at the material what supposed to be the costumes. All I can say that, it looks like I wouldn't be wearing so much clothes tonight.
"And which one will I be?."
"The angel, of course." She rolls her eyes like it's the most obvious thing ever. "Everyone knows that you are the one who keeps me out of trouble and I am the one who spice up your life."
"So, we are going to be the devil and the angel?."
"Yeah! Isn't it fabulous?." She claps enthusiastically into her hands.
"There isn't so many fabric to find fantastic." Meaning, it's literally lingerie. The body is a corset, covered with sparkles. For the angel, its white and the devil it's red. Attached to the body, there is a skirt, that you can barely can call one.
"Don't be a sour bitch. Shawn will love it. He wouldn't be able to keep his hands off you."
That wasn't the thing I was worried about. It's actually the complete opposite...
