In for a surprise

"Nervous?." Our honeymoon/hideaway unfortunately came to an end. We have been enjoying the 1,5 week to the fullest but I am lying if I told you that I haven't been looking forward to this day but also dreading it.

Since we dropped the pregnancy bomb, both Shawn and I haven't looked online to see what the reactions are, but I guess we are going to find it out soon, because we are going to land in about 5 minutes at LAX.

The reason why I have been looking forward to this day is because we are going to see our baby again and if little bean is cooperative, our  gynaecologist will be able to write the sex of the baby down and hand it over to Kylie. She has been planning our gender reveal for weeks now and tomorrow is the day that we are finally going to find out.

"A bit." I confess to Shawn. I just know that the paps are going to hunt us down from the moment we touchdown and to be honest, I don't know what lengths they will go to try to get to us. The last thing I want is being hunt down by the press and end up like princess Diana.

"I am too."- Shawn isn't a guy who holds his feelings back and I admire him about that. "O just so you know, I have invited a couple of people over to the house tonight."

"People? What kind of people." Not that he cannot invite people over but normally he discuss that with me if I do not know them.

"Potential bodyguards for you." He make it sound casually, like he just told me we have to go grocery shopping or something.

"Excuse me? I don't think I heard you correctly."

Like hell I am going to be followed by a bodyguard all day. The thought only of having someone shadowing me gives me major anxiety.

"O no, you heard me right. We are going to hire a bodyguard for you."

"You got to be kidding me. Why do I need a bodyguard?." I am not the fucking queen. I can handle myself.

"Well maybe because you are pregnant and in the public eye..."- I roll my eyes in response. "I am serious, Rose. You have no idea how crazy this is going to get."

"Babe, I have been dealing with this for a while now, you know." Sure, people walk up to me and paparazzi is taking my pictures but it has never been so bad that I felt unsafe and other then that, I never go out alone anyway. There is always someone with me, either Shawn or Luca or one of my friends. I am never alone. "There is no need for a bodyguard." That Shawn is having a bodyguard, I can understand. I mean, he is a guy, a fucking handsome guy may I add, he has dozens of fans and girls can get crazy sometimes but I do not have that. The worse some fan has even done to me is hugged me a bit too tight because she was excited, but that is not something that is life treating.

"You know what kind of craziness and the attention dating me brought along with and what it did to us."- he is scared, I can understand. "But this time you are famous as well."- I open my mouth to object but he holds his hand up to stop me from speaking. "Don't even think about denying it. It's great that you do not let this whole fame thing get to your head and see yourself as a normal woman but we both know that the reality is that you are one of the biggest stars of the moment and that alone is already a reason to get a bodyguard, maybe even more, but adding to that, you are also pregnant. You are pregnant with my child. Do you even realize that our child is already famous, before he or she is born."

"Well, yea but..."

"Baby, I am not doing this to punish you. Not at all. I am trying to protect you and our child. If something was going to happen to you or to our baby, and I didn't had done absolutely everything in my power that I could have done to prevent and protect you guys, I cannot live with myself."
