After a lot of pressure from both our families, friends and especially our managers, we gave in into taking some time off.

But instead of flying to some white beach somewhere in the pacific ocean, we have chosen to go off the grid, to a place called Québec in Canada. And when I say off the grid, I mean off the grid.

The bungalow we rented is in the middle of some naturel park, surrounded by wild life.

As we were driving through the park to get to the bungalow, I already spot a grizzly bear and a group of deers. Let's hope the walls of the house are built with strong materials to keep the animals out.

Our ranger, John talked the whole time about the wonders of this park as we were driving on a road, that should not be called a road. I swear, I think I have hit my head around the 10 times because of all the bad roadside.

"This is your stop." John says as he parks the car in the middle of nowhere, with no house or bungalow in sight.

I give Shawn a glance before I look around. How small can a house be?

"Excuse me."- Shawn says as he leans forward to talk to John. "Where is this house exactly?."

"O it is up the hill but I cannot come there with the car. So, we have to walk there on ourselves." John says before he opens the door en jump out.

Shawn chuckles softly as he sees my expression. "This will be fun baby." He mutters before he gets out as well.

Why did we thought that going off the grid was a better idea then going to a white beach somewhere warm?

As I open the door, the cold Canadian air hits my skin. "Damn.." I mumble softly as I zip my coat up completely.

"Quebec doesn't have any mercy." John laughs at me as he takes our suitcase out of the trunk.

"I figured." I am freezing my tits off. It's so extremely cold here.

"Okay, a couple of thinks before I go."- John mutters as he close the trunk and turn to Shawn and I. "The fridge is filled up with food. More than enough to live off for 5 days. You probably wouldn't have any cellphone reception here but there is a landline in the house in case you need someone. There is wood for the heater on the deck of the house. It's already chopped so, all you have to do is to put it in the heater."

"Alright. Thanks man." Shawn says as he takes the suitcase from John. "We will be fine."

"Thanks for the ride." I nod at John.

"No problem. Have a good one."

"You too." Both Shawn and I say at the same time and head to the improvised stairs, that leads to the bungalow.

"Oo, one last thing."- I turn around as I watch John get into the car. "Don't feed a grizzly bear. They are mean."

Damn. That was the first thing that was on my to do list today.... that's a bummer. Of course, I am not going to feed a bear. Heck, I am not even going to get near one. Is he insane?

"We won't." Shawn laughs and continues walking up the stairs, while holding all our belongings in his arms.

"He is not serious, right? What kind of person would do that?." I say mostly to myself but loud enough for Shawn to hear.

"Canadians are crazy babe." He says as he looks over his shoulder to me.

"If you do that, you have a dead wish."

"Or adventures."

"No, that is just insane." After a climb that would be horrific for a asthma patient, the bungalow finally comes into sight.
