Private jets... an actual private jet. Who would have thought, a year ago, that one day I would have flown in a private jet with my own manager and best friend as I just had an appearance in New York City?
One thing for sure is that life has a crazy way of working out. My life, as it is right now, is one I only could have dreamed off and now it is reality. That is just crazy.
Like I said, I spend the last 2 days in New York for a healthy lifestyle press conference. There were at least 3.000 people there, as they were listening and asking questions about my life. It was just a crazy experience. It's really nice to go somewhere and inspire people to live their life a bit healthier.
I also had the chance to see Liz again. Anna and I met up with her for dinner last night. It was so good to have her close again and to be able to give her a hug in person. I didn't realized how much I miss Liz and Ali, until I saw Liz again. We made plans, to all take some time off somewhere beginning of next year, and to go on a girls trip. I seriously cannot wait.
It was so good to catch up with her and she made me promise that she was the one who can be my wedding planner if the day may ever come. O yea, I didn't told you but Liz started her own wedding planner company. She was done with working for a boss and live during the nights as an party planner so, she turned her life around and started her own company. You probably will not believe it, but Liz actually settled down and is way more relaxed then she was in the good old days. She won't admit it but I know for sure that it is because she met Damian. Her boyfriend of almost a year. The girls are growing up. Sad, I know.
Unfortunately, Liz didn't had much time to hang out because of her work but it is not like I could have stayed much longer in New York because I promised Shawn to be there for the kiss Jingle ball he is preforming at LA tonight. But because of the bad weather, we couldn't depart from JFK until 2 hours after the scheduled departing time. So, fingers crossed that I will be on time to even see him preform at all.
"What time do we land?." I look up from my phone, as Shawn keeps sending me texts, to Scott, who is sitting at the other end of the plane, working on his laptop. What is it with managers and never not working. It is almost inhuman how many time Scott spends on his laptop.
"In about a hour. There is some strong western wind that delays the plane."
"Amazing..."- I mumble as I look back to my phone, to tell Shawn the bad news. His time slot to preform is in a hour and a half. There need to happen a miracle if we will ever be able to get to the venue in less than 30 minutes. In the Netherlands, that wouldn't be much of a problem but in LA, and the horrible traffic... yea, that would be some serious miracle. But you never know...
"Can't you arrange some police escort?." Anna says from the couch next to me to Scott. "They can get us quickly to the arena."
I look from Anna to Scott and raise my eyebrow. I never really thought about that before. It would be the solution to get to the venue on time.
"I will look at what I can do." Scott mumbles and immediately attach the phone to his ear.
Exactly a hour later, the plane touches down at van Nuys airport, which is a smaller airport, mostly for private jets only, in the west of Hollywood.
I thank the captains for getting us back to the ground safely and wait for the plane door top open. For a second, I am in shock as I see two cop cars waiting, along with a blank van at the runway.
"You managed to arrange it?."
Scott shrugs his shoulders. "You want to see your boyfriend and I want to keep you happy. It wasn't so hard to arrange."
