"You scared me to death, idiot..." is the first thing I say to Ali as I walk into her room. Shawn and I are the last ones to bring her a visit. We respected their families and gave them as much time as possible with their daughter, sister after almost losing her. The doctors said that she got extremely lucky to be alive because she lost 4 times as much of blood during the labor as a normal woman does. Of course, nothing in Ali's life is ever going normal. Thankfully, one of her brothers has the same blood type as her and could donate some blood. That is probably what has saved her.

"You didn't really thought that you could get rid off me so quickly, now did ya?." Although, she looks extremely tired and pale, she still has her smart mouth. So, that makes me believe that everything is going to be fine with her. As soon as she had lost her smart mouth, that would be a reason to start get really worried.

"That is not even funny, Alissa. Kenneth could almost send out the birth announcement cards along with the memorial cards."

"I would have leave the world knowing that I left something incredible behind." She says as she stares longingly at the baby boy, who is fast asleep in her arms. Complete obvious about the almost drama the family evaded. "I mean, look at him. Isn't he perfect." It is fascinating to see the transformation in Ali. There is no trace left of the tough, I do not give a shit attitude she always had. Instead of the badass is replaced by a soft-boiled egg.

Kenneth makes room for me, by standing up so, I can take the seat next to the bed.

"Do you want anything to drink or eat, sweetheart?." Kenneth says, grabbing his wallet out of his jacket.

"I am really craving a sandwich with Carpaccio." I was wondering when she would ask for one. Ali has always been obsessed with Carpaccio. Like really, really obsessed.

"Alright. Rose?."

"Nah, I am good."

"Babe, you haven't eaten anything today yet." Shawn reminds me. I did, right? O no, he is right. The last thing I ate was something small on the plane but I threw up my guts while we were halfway across the Atlantic ocean so, there isn't anything left in my stomach.

"I am not really hungry." After everything that has happened today, the stress and the fear of losing one of my best friends, food is the last thing that is on my mind.

"You are not hungry?." Ali says with her questionable voice. Yea, I know... that is rare. Especially for me.

"I caught a food infection in Turks and Caicos. Nothing to be worried about."

"Where?." O yea, I didn't told her that Shawn took me somewhere. Not that I knew where he was going to take me in the first place...

"Shawn took me on a holiday for a couple of days."

"Mmhm, interesting..." Ali, being the investigator, gives Shawn a look.

"Kenneth, I will come with you." I cannot help but to smirk at Shawn, as he clearly feels uncomfortable and want to get himself out of this situation. "I will bring something for you to eat. You are human, Rose. That means that you need to eat from time to time."

Smart ass. I roll my eyes at him and watch the two guys walking out of the room. I sigh softly as I look back to Ali, who is already staring at. me with a big smile on her face.

"What?." Why is she looking at me like that?

"I knew the two of you were going to end up together eventually."

I rest my arm on the bed and support my head with my hand as I stare at her. "It all happened so fast." Like everything in my life happens. "We were trying to take it slow but we simply do not seem to succeed in that."
