Half an hour after Draco left, I thought long and hard. I knew Draco was afraid. He wouldn't be able to do this. At all. Maybe if I, no, or actually that might work. Voldemort knows I'm stronger than him and I'm a Horcrux, so Draco doesn't have to kill Dumbledore. If Voldemort is going to kill Draco because he doesn't kill Dumbledore, then I'll threaten to kill myself. He will definitely stop me. If I die, then he will be weaker. Let's face it, I know I'm going to die anyway...

I got up and quickly ran to the room of requirement. Draco wasn't there. I looked around and I saw him turn a corner. I chased him down the corridor and Draco made his way up to the astronomy tower. I waited until he was gone and thought through how I was going to do this.

Suddenly, I heard Draco shout. "Who else is here? I heard you talking!" I started to head up the stairs.
"I often talk aloud to myself. I find it extraordinarily useful." Dumbledore answered.

Harry was there and made me jump. I put my finger to my lips and told him to be quiet. He had an anticipating look on his face. However, he stayed quiet.

"Draco, you are no assassin." Dumbledore reassured Draco.
"How do you know what I am? I've done things that would shock you." Draco blurted out sounding very nervous. I crept up another step.

"Oh, like cursing Katie Bell and hoping that in return she would bear a cursed necklace to me? Like replacing a bottle of mead with one lace with poison. Forgive me, Draco. I cannot help feel these actions are so weak that your...heart can't really have been in them." Dumbledore questioned Draco.

It sounded like he was trying to get him to stand down and not kill him or something.
"He trusts me. I was chosen." Draco said shakily, by now I could see them both. However, both could not see me. Dumbledore slowly took out his wand and said, "I shall make this easy for you."
"Expelliarmus!" Draco shouted and Dumbledore's wand flew away from him.
"Very good. You're not alone. There are others. How?" I didn't think he would know this.

"The Vanishing Cabinet in the Room of Requirement. I've been mending it." Draco confessed.
"Let me guess, it has a sister. A twin." Dumbledore seemed pretty calm.
"In Borgin and Burkes. They form a passage." Draco was spilling everything out. Is he stupid or what?
"Ingenious." Dumbledore mumbled.

Suddenly I felt a wand on the back of my neck, I turned my head slowly to see it was Bellatrix. She winked at me and forced me to proceed upstairs. She probably thought I was going to come at Dumbledore from surprise. No I was not.

"Draco, years ago, I knew a boy who made all the wrong choices. Please let me help you." Dumbledore was now looking at Draco, his eyes filled with pity.
"I don't want your help. Don't you understand? I have to do this. I have to kill you. Or he's gonna kill me." Draco was in tears now, and I couldn't help but feel my heart being wrenched out of my chest.

I've never seen him so upset. I reached the top step and Dumbledore looked at me. Like he knew I was supposed to be there. "Draco! Stop, you don't have to do this. He won't kill you if I'm there he won't I promise." Bellatrix and the other death eaters were speechless. Draco looked round at me with tears streaming down his face. I couldn't help but cry with him.

He began to lower his wand when Bellatrix shouted, "This is your moment, Draco. Do it!... Go on, Draco, now!" Draco looked round at Dumbledore.
"No." I heard a voice behind me.
"Severus." Dumbledore said slowly. "Please..." I swear, I could die right now. This was so hard to watch. I knew Snape was going to do it. I just knew. His face looked determined but I sensed he felt reluctant to do this.

"Avada Kedavra." Snape said loudly and Dumbledore flew backwards over the balcony.
"No!" I shouted and ran to the balcony. I watched him fall down and my tears followed after him. Suddenly it was like all the good in this world had stopped and turned bad....
