hero and i are on the way to where we're having our date, we're going to a really posh italian place. we've been there once or maybe twice - i can't remember but it's fancy and i like the pizza from their so it's okay.
hero's one hand is rested on my thigh as he drives with his other hand.
"do you want to put a song on?" hero asks me, as i stare at the dark sky.
i shake my head but hero puts on one of my favourite songs
frank ocean, ivy.
i look up at hero and a smile grows on his face and his dimples are visible.

hero's pov;
we're at the restaurant, jo ordered a pizza and i ordered a ravioli. we also ordered fries to share. i'm going to propose to jo today. im so nervous and ive been shaky since we got here.
what if she says no?
my heart is pounding. i won't know until the moment.
josephine takes a bite of her pizza slice
"it's even better than last time we came here" she says to me with a smile on her face.
"let me taste"
josephine puts a bit of pizza in my mouth and it's good.
i love seeing her eat happily because i know she's come so far with her eating and i know pizza was one of her fear foods and i'm so proud of her for overcoming that fear.

josephines pov;
hero and i sitting on a hill, talking about everything good in life. we can see the city lights and it's so pretty.
this reminds me of when we were younger, we used to come here when we were going through hard times - we'd come here and we'd forget about everyone in the world and it would be just us. i remember when we nearly broke up, i made my mom drive me here because i know he was here and i knew that he'd have to talk to me then.
"jo can i ask you something?" hero asks me?
"i need you to stand up though"
i stand up, confused.
what is he doing?

hero's pov;
my heart is racing, she looks ever so beautiful in the moonlight and it's going to break me if she says no. i'm almost as nervous has when i asked her to be my girlfriend.
"so where do i begin?"
i take her hand in mine and jo looks at me, she looks confused but she's happy and relaxed.
"i just want to say thank you for all you have done for me, you have stuck by me through everything - through all of the hard times. through my brother dying, being an addict and we have been through so much together but we have still come out the other end, together. we are forever. the world would be very stupid without you because you make me complete. one day, i want you to love yourself the way i love you. i want you to see how beautiful you are. i am so fucking proud of you because you.. you got better and you are so much happier than when i first met you and fuck i love you so much"
my heart is racing even more now.
i get down on one knee and take out the small black box from my pocket - with her ring in it.
"josephine eliza langford, will you marry me?"
she's crying, it's happy tears because she's smiling.
i don't want to cry until after i have an answer.
"yes" she mumbles
i slip the ring onto her ringer and it fits perfectly - i got jack to make sure i got her the right size by checking her other rings.
her ring is beautiful. it's flashy and the diamonds are stunning.
"i love you hero fiennes tiffin" she says to me, before kissing me.
