16 years ago, josephine's pov;
mommy is crying again because daddy hit her. i tried to stop him but he pushed me and i hit my head on the wall.
alexa is at her friends house and i want her to come home.
"i'm sorry" i hear my mom say, i leave my bedroom and go back to my moms room and i see my dad punching my mom and she's crying.
"stop it" i say to my dad trying to push him.
he kicks me and i fall onto the floor.
i just want him to leave he keeps hurting mommy and i don't like it. i just want to be happy.
he always says i'm fat and when i go downstairs to get something to eat he says i shouldn't be eating and i need to starve.
i want to be happy.
why can't we be happy?
