my eyes flutter open as the sound of my alarm rings. hero's arm is across my waist and our bodies are closer then they have been for months, i feel safe in his arms. i know it's stupid to rely on another person to have a good sleep but i.. i've been with him for so long that i know no different, it's hero. it's always going to be hero, no matter what anyone says and does.
i move out of his arms and turn my alarm off and look at the time; 6:30am. we still have time to lay in bed until about 7:30 when the kids wake up, i usually get up an hour before to iron their clothes and all but i can do it now and i'll get hero to make their breakfast while i iron and they can eat then change.
i move back into my husband's arms and his eyes open slightly - a smirk grows on his face once he sees that i'm cuddled up to him.
"good morning sexy" hero mumbles and kisses my lips.
"good morning" i reply to him.
hero pulls me closer to him and i smile into his chest, i missed this.
"what time is it?" he asks me
"6:35"
"can you make the kids breakfast?" i ask my husband
"of course"

hero and i spent an hour cuddling until we had to wake the kids up, i'm putting the kids clothes in their rooms so they can change when they've eaten breakfast - i think they should have uniform because they always come home with dirty clothes but it's alright i guess.
"jo" i hear hero shout from downstairs, i head downstairs and the kids are eating chocolate waffles and fruit.
"can i come with you to drop the kids off?" he asks and my heart jumps at his question
"yeah, do you want me to get you some clothes out?"
"yes please" he says before kissing my cheek
"ewwww" adam says
i head back upstairs and take out some black jeans for hero with a white tshirt. i go into my closet and take out my blue jeans and i pair it with a white t-shirt.

we're all in the car now and it feels weird all of us in one car, i'm not complaining though.
"have you got your stuff kids?" hero asks them for the tenth time, they always seem to forget something if one of us aren't constantly asking them if they have everything
"yup" camila replies
"cmon twins" hero says and gets out the car, he opens the back door and unbuckles their seatbelt.
"bye mom i love you" belle says, blowing me a kiss
"bye mommy" camila says and shuts the car door behind them.
adam and i are in the car alone, he's playing with a lego figure.
"mom" adam says, i turn my head to look at my son
"is daddy okay now?" my son questions
"yeah he's fine" i tell my son, i don't want to worry adam.
"i'll tell you a secret but you can't tell anyone" i say to my son.
"we're getting a dog" i tell him
a huge smile grows on his face and my heart warms.
"really?" i nod my head at my son and he looks so excited, i can't wait to surprise the twins. the puppies might take their mind of kieran for a little while, adam keeps asking to see kieran - i don't know what to tell him anymore, one day he'll be old enough to understand.

hero's pov;
i just dropped adam into school, it was nice to take the kids to school. josephine and i are on our way to the dog adoption place, i know the kids and josephine have wanted a dog for ages.
soon, we get to the place - i park my car and we both get out of the car. i push the door open to the centre and josephine walks in excitedly.

we ended up adopting two baby huskies. the plan was to adopt ONE but jo said she wanted two and i couldn't say no to her. the dogs are in their carry things, we put them in the back seats. i brought the dog beds, the cage thing but it's huge so they don't feel trapped and what not - we're only going to use it if we're not home, we got the dog food and the bowls as well - i'm so excited for the kids to come home.
"you happy?" i ask my wife and she smiles at me.
"yup" she replies, she leans over and kisses my cheek.
"i love you" i remind her
"i love you too" she says to me, with a wide smile on her face.

the kids are home now, hero went to get them. i put the dogs in a cardboard box and i'd get them to open it.
"kids come upstairs" i shout and i hear my three children coming up the stairs.
"what's in the box mom?" belle asks me
"open the box" hero tells them
belle opens one box and camila and adam open the other.
"no way" camila says
they pick the puppies out of the boxes and the dogs start barking excitedly.
"what're you gonna call them?" i ask
"snowflake for this one" belle says
"can we call this one bear?" adam suggests and i nod.
"thank you mom and dad" adam says and hugs us both.
i sit down on my bed next to hero and watch the kids play with their new puppies.
i feel hero's hand on mine and i look up at him, he's watching the kids - i kiss his cheek.
"he's so cute!" camila says, cuddling the puppy.
"can we take them out to the garden?" belle asks
"yeah go on" i say and they all go downstairs.
"thank you for the puppies"
"don't worry about it" my husband replies
i'm glad we're talking again.
