Jisung
"Jisung!"
"Are you alright?!"
"What were you thinking?!"
I recognized the breathing of Felix, my blurry vision picking up the shine of his bright hair.
"Minho is he okay?" Felix sounded stressed. Hearing my loud hiccups and tears must've made him more anxious.
"I-I'm sorry!" I choked out.
I could feel Minho's heart beat accelerating, his hand running through my hair in attempts to calm me down. Though It definitely helped in making me feel safe.
That was the one reason why I always found myself clinging to him.
No matter what, he always found a way too make me feel so at home. Always.
I locked my hands around Minho's waist, my head tucked away in the crook of his neck while he let me cry.
The others had made there way down the slide, seeing my current state.
I could hear Seungmin and Hyunjin quickly swimming to the edge of the pool, hastily jumping onto the pavement.
"What happened?" Seungmin seemed a bit disoriented.
Hearing Minho's breathing beginning to even, I calmed a bit more.
Hyunjin dropped to his knees, placing a gentle warm hand on my back.
"Sung, why didn't you tell us?" Hyunjin uttered.
Changbin, Chan, Felix, Jeongin, and Seungmin were gathered around Minho and I.
I hiccuped quietly, picking up my head just a little so I could speak.
"Its—not like I—can't swim, I just—don't have the kind of—athletic—abilities all of you do." Sharp breaths and tiny hiccups left my lips as I tried to explain.
Minho patted my back, scratching my head softly.
"Breathe." He whispered into my ear.
Taking a deep breath, my mind cleared itself.
"I'm only able to float, and paddle around in water." I stopped for a second, taking in a another breath, "I can keep myself afloat if needed. But it takes a lot of energy out of me. I guess I just surprised myself and blanked."
Everyone seemed to catch on quickly.
"And all of you have extremely good athletic skills. You're all so good at everything. Most of you are werewolves, and just having that blood in you helps a lot with strength and endurance." I sniffled.
"I'm just a plain old human, with no special traits."
Yeah.
Just a human.
But, what if. . . I was a wolf? Like them?
How would that change my skills, or even my strength? I mean, I've always been quite weak, no doubt about that. Perfect examples being those times in which Taeri or Nyx overpowered me without the slightest bit of effort.
What if, there was some way to change?
"Ji, we could care less that you're a human. The only thing we care about is you're safety. And to us, you're very special." Felix whispered to me, trying his very best to make sure I heard and understood. He always knew what to say, and how to say it.
"He's right sung. You're perfect the way you are." Hyunjin chimed in.
"Exactly."
"No doubt about it."
