Minho
Low and behold, an hour later, we arrived at a cozy little house.
It was small, quite modern looking, but still had a cute feel to it. Accented with rustic whites, and solid grays, the industrial-white house looked greatly comfortable.
"You live alone here?" I asked softly as Nez pulled up into the drive way.
"Yup. 18 years old, and ended up renting one of the houses my parents owned."
"Really? Wow. I don't think I could pay rent at 18 to save my life." I chuckled, scratching my neck awkwardly.
Taeri laughed a little, rubbing her eyes.
"Well, I don't quite get along with my parents so I just decided to start babysitting around 14, then get a decent job around 16. And I guess all that saving up helped a lot more than I'd expected. Now I work part time, and more often then not, full time during the summers." Nezi explained nonchalantly, sighing as she stopped the car. "And were here! Welcome to my humble abode."
Tae smiled, "I pretty much spend all my time with this piece of work so I'm good."
"Piece of work?! Excuse you!" Nezira sassed, giggling as she started for the house. "I'll unlock the door and get our stuff inside, can you take the boy's things please ri?"
"Yeah that's fine." Taeri yawned softly into her sleeve, getting ready to bring a few bags inside.
I on the other hand, was folding the soft little blanket Nez had offered up to sung.
"Min, are we here?" Jisung's groggy, and feeble voice erupted a sudden happiness inside me.
"Good morning sleeping beauty." I teased, "how are you feeling?"
"Well talking doesn't hurt as bad as before, so I think I'm okay. But I don't think I can walk. My spine still feels like needles are puncturing it."
"Don't worry about that, I've got you bubs." I smiled down at him, carefully reaching for his legs.
He let me move him slowly, telling me when it hurt him.
When I'd successfully pulled him into my arms, his own hands resting on his stomach as his head lay in my neck, I slowly got up out of the vehicle.
"I'll close the doors and lock up, Just head on inside." Nezi was approaching the car again, presumably to get her own bags and belongings. "There's an extra bedroom inside. The second door on the right of the hallway. The both of you can rest there."
"Perfect, thanks."
"Mhm!"
I was a little hesitant to step inside, though I was quick to slip my shoes off. To my luck Jisung was literally just wearing socks so it didn't matter either way.
The house itself was nicely decorated, though there was a lot of light pink, I must say. I didn't mind It though, it was cute. Cherry patterned pillows called the couch their home, while a white fuzzy blanket was neatly folded on the couch's arm. Gray carpets and cream colored curtains were also among the few things commonly found throughout the house.
The hall had come into sight not long after, located just to the side of the vivid living room.
As instructed, I looked to the second door on the right.
Barely managing to pop the door open, I quickly took notice of the new yet mellow color theme.
It was really just a bunch of glossed blacks and pretty gray-blue's. White being the base color, which seemed like the only common thing among the colorfully decorated, yet strangely comforting home.
The navy comforter was the first thing I spotted, since it was really what I was focused on getting jisung to.
Carefully shutting the light oak door with my foot, I slowly made my way over to the queen sized bed.
Softly and tenderly placing the delicate boy onto the awfully comfortable looking bed, I pulled the covers out from underneath him just to pull them over him.
"Comfortable?" I asked through a sweet smile.
"As for the condition I'm currently in, I'm as comfortable as I could be. Thank you Minnie." Jisung cupped my cheek infirmly, his eyes droopy, but thankful.
"Anything for you." I replied, feeling a bit more at ease.
"How about we get some sleep yeah? You haven't sleep since yesterday, have you? It's almost 5 am."
"I'll be alright, I've stayed up for longer." I tried to show a strong smile, but I'm not entirely sure it came across that way.
It was true I was tired. Both mentally and physically. But that was alright with me.
"Please? Come sleep next to me. It'll make me feel better." Jisung really pulled that card just to get me to at least lay down.
I sighed, knowing there was no winning here. Especially when I was in no mood to bicker with the boy in very distinct pain. His voice hadn't changed from the raspy and weak tone it had been in, and it was so obviously evident in the soft forehead wrinkles of his that he was still pushing down immense discomfort.
"Fine, but I'm not sleeping."
"Oh yes you are Mr. busybody." Jisung laughed quietly.
I sighed, shaking my head as a light smile appeared on my lips.
As I climbed into the comfortable blue bed, Jisung watched me through hazy dark eyes.
"Please just close your eyes and sleep. It'll make me feel a bit calmer, just knowing that you're somewhat rested." He seemed completely serious this time, like this is what he desperately wanted from me right now.
And I wasn't really going to argue anymore, because I really was tired.
"Alright." I brushed the bangs out of his eyes. "But be sure to wake me up if anything bothers you."
"I will." He smiled, knowing he'd won this fight.
"Promise?"
"Promise."
