I woke up to the stinging in my arm and groaned. "Fuck!" Rex was stitching my arm which Dean managed to cut. "Why didn't you numb it you fucking..." I focused on my breath and leaned back. "You know why I didn't numb it." He cut off the end and moved away from the bed I was laying in. I deserved the pain that's why he didn't numb it.

"Now get up and start training him." He pointed at the rink Dean was standing at. He was looking at the weapons like he wasn't aware of anything. I didn't bother asking for time for us to heal. He already made enough choices to help me. I stood up and walked to the rink. "Get the fucking knife, will you?" I pointed at it. He widened his eyes and got it from the ground before running back next to me. I had to train him for throwing knives first band dodging because I didn't have the energy to fight him again.

I wanted to ask Rex to help him but my pride and sense of logic held me back.

Now that I'm thinking about it Rex could actually be my ticket out. He understands why I do what I do somehow. So the right way to look into the situation is to know what I'd do if he came to me. I'd tell him to fuck off and even if I decided to help him I'd get something back. I'd rather die than to him humiliating me like that.

When I knocked I heard hushed noises and my eyes widened. I kicked the door open when I felt it being held by the other end. The Melanie bitch was topless and so was Rex which made me feel weird. "Really? Here?" I asked.

Rex's POV

Okay, I wasn't proud of what I was doing but Arabella has no idea how it feels to be around her all the time. That's why I don't want her to have any guy friends in the gang it's because she's not aware of the effect she has on people.

That's why I needed my distractions.

But now that I watch her stare at what I've been doing I can't help but cringe.

Spending my time with worthless women when the real prize is who I'm engaged to. But it's best to hold back and not show her any value. I know she can take care of herself and kill people who try getting to her but I just didn't want to create that danger in the first place. So it's not that I think she deserves better. I know I can be what she needs, I can be better for her but that would endanger her.

"What did you want?" I asked after putting my shirt back on. I couldn't even get off before she came in. Her disappointed look made me want to get out of here. She leaned on my desk as the girl left the room and folded her hands across her chest. She wasn't helping my situation and making it even worse. "I'm not going to wait all day Arabella." even saying her name made me horny which was concerning.

"Rex I-." She was hesitating which made me want to reach out to her. She had that effect on people as well. I'm not a touchy person at all, I don't even like shaking hands. "I can't fight him with my arm like this." She sighed and looked everywhere but me. I don't know why she didn't want her brother to die, it's not like she cared for anyone but she still resisted.

I also crossed my arms. If it was anyone else I would've kicked their ass but she just looked so desperate and I didn't like her being that way. I don't like that look on her face like she needs people to help her. "I can only train him at midnight when everyone leaves," I said in one breath so I wouldn't snap. She widened her eyes as she looked at me.

"What-... What do you want in return?" She said hesitantly like I would ask her for something terrible. "Don't be a pain in the ass and don't tease me for helping you," I emphasized the second part since I knew she'd bring it up someday. "You got it." She nodded before bolting out of my office. It's like she didn't want to look at me for some reason. I couldn't get enough from looking at her and she didn't even want to glance my way.

How flattering.

I walked out behind her and didn't see her next to the brother which made me feel weird. Did I say something bad? No. She gets affected by kindness so terribly, probably because she got punished for it with her mom. I walked up and went next to Dean which made him flinch. "Leave now and rest. Be here at midnight, that's when your training starts. I'll kill you if you're late without a doubt." I said calmly and walked down.

When I walked back to my office I saw Arabella on top of the girl I was hooking up with.

Arabella's POV

Why the fuck did he give in so easily? Why does he fucking have a soft spot for me? It only proves Alina right and makes me burn. I didn't want to go into the bathroom because I knew I wouldn't like the look I would see. Instead, I went to a different corner and tried calming myself. I needed to hit something or someone. I decided to walk to the punching bag and started hitting it till I sweat.

"Jealousy doesn't suit you." The girl from before said cockily.

This is her volunteering to be my next punching bag.

"Fuck outta here," I said aggressively and pushed my curtain bangs back from my face. "Make me. Whore." She said viciously and definitely didn't expect me to throw a punch to her square in the face. I kept punching till she gave up.

"Arabella!" I heard a furious yell behind me coming from Rex.

"You're the dumbest bitch I've ever met. Challenging Rex and then trying to stop him, he would've killed you if he didn't use you for something. But I'm always going to be around him and so will your mother." I reached for the gun in my waistband from on top of her and Rex was walking towards me. I shot her forehead from the middle without a doubt.

You make a comment about me and my mother, you die.

Rex stood in front of the corpse as everyone was gathering and watching me on top of the dead body. He extended his hand for me to take and I didn't take it. "What did she say?" He demanded to know. "'You're the dumbest bitch I've ever met, Rex would've killed you if he didn't use you for something but I'm always going to be around him and so will your mother.'" I said without breaking eye contact. "Don't get upset," I told him. I knew he thought I was right. "I would've killed her if you didn't." He said before biting his lip and looking down.

"I have business. You need to accompany me as my fiancé." He said tiredly and I tried to hold back but I felt bad for him. Everyone was around us now, not even hiding that they're watching. "I'll ask Aiden and Cameron to be at the car in a minute." He nodded. "Don't make me wait." He said before walking away and ordering people to clean up the blood.
