Rex did end up staying over that night and I had a idea he definitely wouldn't accept.

I wanted to leave to get Alina with him.

I came back to my room after washing my hair and noticed that Rex was asleep in my bed. Sheilah was laying next to him which is very unusual since she doesn't like anyone but me and Carmelo. I moved her to her bed and laid on top of Rex.

His soft, quiet snores stopped and he opened his eyes slightly before hugging me into his chest. "So I have an idea and I'm not taking no as a response." I said confidently and he sat up next to me. "No. Would you like my answer in Romanian as well?" He asked and I rolled my eyes before nodding.

He smiled as he leaned back again. "Nu." He said sternly and I sighed. "I'm coming with you to get Alina whether you like it or not. If you don't want me, I'll make Carmelo drive me there to see Alina who I'm sure he misses dearly." I dusted my hands and got up from my bed to get a bag to put my stuff in.

"Absolutely not. Fuck no. I'll fucking kill Carmelo if he follows me, I swear on my fucking life, Arabella." He said leaving no room to discuss and I wasn't asking him anyway.

I was telling him.

"Suit yourself. I can always drive using one leg." I said as I picked out a shirt and some shorts just so I'd have extra clothes if something happens. "My god. You're impossible." He said as he raised his eyebrows and came next to me. I shrugged before placing the small bag on my desk and picked out clothes to wear for now. I'll just wear shorts so the stitches will be fine and won't bleed.

He made me stop hurrying by grabbing the clothes from my hands. "Calm down, you're stretching it." He warned me and helped me wear the clothes. "I fucking hate you." He muttered as laid down on my bed again and rubbed his face.

I let out a loud laugh and climbed on top of him again. "I hate you more." I left a kiss on his cheek before getting back up and grabbed my bag. I could feel the tension in the hospital return when he started driving off. He was thinking really deeply about something and I could tell what it was.

It made my heart ache.

I wonder how life would be if I stayed pregnant. I know Rex would keep it safe forever but would the baby want this lifestyle? Both me and Rex love the thrill and the pain this live gives us but what if the child didn't agree? What would we do then, just give everything up?

Although I don't think I'd ever complain if I had a kid who looked just like him.

He grabbed my hand when he saw my pout and intertwined our fingers. "You're driving." I warned and he shrugged. "What's on your mind?" I asked as I turned towards him and leaned my head on the seat. "I don't think you want to know." My pout came back again.

Maybe I should be more relaxed about this. He told me he won't let anything break us apart again and he promised it. But I'm going to be more careful from now about being safe and I'm sure so will he.

"Will we have to see Maria?" I asked and he nodded. "Alright. I'll make sure to be more touchy if we see her." He chuckled slightly and held my hand tighter. "I think my mom was as wrecked as I was when you left." He admitted and I pursed my lips before biting the bottom one.

"I'm scared to see her again. What if she doesn't want me there Rex?" I asked as I closed my eyes tightly and sighed. "I think she's going to get scared first but she's not hostile." I nodded and watched the view outside the window. Rex was parking the car when I opened my eyes again. I looked out the window to see where we are and saw Maria just glaring at us from the bench she was sitting on.

Crazy bitch.

I opened the door and shut it after getting out but my eyes never left hers. I winked at her before Rex wrapped his arm around my waist and walked me inside.

I could feel my heart pounding as I fiddled with my fingers.

"Mama." Rex called from downstairs as he walked us forward and Alina was trying to zip up her suitcase. "Rex." She turned around and her smile froze when she saw me. I was ready for her to kick me out or yell at me, insult me and call me names in Romanian but it didn't happen. "Arabella?" I finally looked up from the ground and took a deep breath before biting my lip.

"She insisted on coming here with me." Rex said before giving his mother a hug and Alina hugged him back tighter. I just stood straight and waited there awkwardly as he pulled away and walked to zip up her suitcase. Alina walked up to me and cupped my face for a moment before pulling me down to her level. She hugged me like the day we met for the first time. I narrowed my eyes.

I brought myself to hug her back this time.

"Where were you?" She cupped my face again as she examined me. "It's a long story. We'll tell you about it later." I said as I watched Maria walk in and held her arms reaching out to my face. She dropped them a second later and I touched my chest to calm my breathing. "Arabella, I honestly didn't think you'd be back." I nodded and turned my attention back to Rex.

"Apparently she heard some things about me from someone close to us and I honestly can't even blame her for feeling betrayed, although you still should've talked to me." He said as his hand traced down my arm and held mine. "We'll talk about it later. Have a good day, Maria." I said as I narrowed my eyes at her and she frowned at me.

I would've honestly reached out to smack her across the face if Rex didn't pull me back so we can walk to the car. I remember the things Rex told me now. About how Lorenzo kept taking advantage of Alina. I don't understand how she turned out to be the way she is, I don't even want to imagine what she went through.

But one thing I now is Rex doesn't show me how he truly feels about Lorenzo. I've seen him turn into something else so many times when I got hurt and when I think of Alina going through it for a long period of time, Rex must be enraged to say the least.

The return back didn't take that long since I gave the passenger seat to Alina and just decided to fall asleep again in the back.

I saw a group of men watch the car as we drove off the street.
