"Oh god." River face palmed and I looked at her direction. Cameron was smiling our way and I rolled my eyes. "He's a piece of shit." I muttered and River nodded. "Don't tell me-..." She looked at him then me. "Are you here with him?" I nodded and a concerned expression replaced her face.

"Arabella, Cameron's not someone you should keep around. He's not trustable." She pointed at me and I narrowed my eyes. "Why?" Cameron's done nothing to anyone before. He was friends with Rex so why should I be suspicious of him. "Just don't, okay? Trust me. I know him too well." She said and I nodded. I had a gut feeling again now. I don't know why.

I looked at Rex again and saw Jennifer trying to press her side to him but he pushed her. He's so aggressive with everyone. Not in the hurtful way though, not unless they're asking for it. "Alright. Nice meeting you, River." She gave me a small hug and I walked next to Cameron.

"Why are you such a douche?" I asked after grabbing his drink and finishing it. He just grinned at me. "Do you actually love Rex? Or is it just because he's hot?" I narrowed my eyes. "Where's this coming from?" I got another drink and he looked upset now. "It's just that... He always gets what he wants. It's infuriating." He said in a whisper and turned around.

"Let's leave." I nodded and we walked out together.

What do I do now?

I was thinking to myself at home. Even though I know I still have Rex it's so hard to not be around him. I know he feels the same. He sucks at hiding it publicly. Or maybe I just know him well. I heard a knock on the door and stood up to a sitting position in my bed. "Yeah?" The door opened and Cameron peeked his head in. "Hot chocolate?" I shrugged. Sure. He placed the mug in my night stand. "It's my signature drink. Made it just for you." He tapped my nose making me frown. That was weird. "Thanks." I said dryly and he pouted after pulling the seat and sitting down.

"Isn't Will waiting for you?" I asked and he leaned back. "He's asleep and you look hurt." I nodded as I raised my eyebrows. "Is he really worth it?" I narrowed my eyes. "What?" I asked trying to understand where the fuck he's going. "Rex." He said as his voice shook. "Yes." I leaned back and he seemed unsatisfied with my determined answer. "Rex's worth everything." I added as I laid down again and pulled the covers up.

"I hope you still feel that way when he cuts you off. Permanently." With that he just left and made me angry again.

Next morning I planned on going to River's warehouse since she told me she'll pick me up. Maybe she'll help me about the Leonardo case if I get close with her. "Good uh-... Morning." I'm pretty sure she saw the bags under my eyes because I didn't have time to cover them up. "I slept very well, thanks for asking." I said and she laughed. "Asshole." She muttered as she drove away. We made it after about forty five minutes.

"Why are people staring at me like I'm deranged?" I asked as I smiled at River. She chuckled as she walked next to me. "They're not used to seeing new people. Also you seem to forget it a lot but you killed Kristina." Oh. I put my hands in my pocket from anxiousness. "You know I would definitely love to see you work for me or even along side me every day but I don't think you're interested." I shook my head. I would've grabbed moms money and ran in the blink of an eye if Rex didn't exist.

"No. But I'd love to be close friends with you." I said as I looked at her innocently. She smirked and her phone rang. "You can walk around, this'll take a while." She said and I nodded.

Rivers place was far more complicated than Rex's. There was a large rink that took my attention. I haven't sweat in one of those in a while. Maybe that's why I'm so irritated by everything more than usual. "Would you like anything?" A young boy around my age came up to me and widened his eyes when I didn't answer. "No. Thank you." I responded and he seemed surprised.

Well I'm not an asshole.

Not always.

He walked away in a fast pace and so brought my attention back to the rink. After a while I felt River next to me from her heavy perfume. "What do you think?" I raised my eyebrows before sighing and placed my hands in my pockets again. "They're fast, makes them less predictable. The brunette is too distracted and the blonde one is slower which is to the brunettes advantage." I said and River pouted that I was unimpressed. I nudged her shoulder with mine. "I bet I can kick your ass." She narrowed her eyes at me.

"Right." She pushed me back and I narrowed my eyes. "Get off." She got up and kicked the people out. "Don't judge. I'm a bit rusty." She warned and I laughed.

"Rusty." I mocked her and she rolled her eyes.

She was quick like the rest of her crudes but not strong enough. I got knocked back into the ropes as she went for me and dodged the punch she sent my way. "Not cool." I went behind her and kicked her leg making her fall on her knees. She rolled and got up before I could land a good kick. I got a hold of her hand and punched her to the ground before she could free herself or use her other hand. She didn't bother fighting back anymore.

"I'm rusty." I sat next to her as I laughed and wiped a tear. "Sorry. I mean I also haven't fought in months but you do have a point. Not making an excuse or anything. Just rusty." I got up and extended my hand for her.

She took it and pushed me back with one leg behind mine in the blink of an eye. "Not cool." I emphasised as I rubbed the back of my head and she laughed. "Sore loser." I got up and didn't take the hand she extended. "Rex sure trained you well." She said and I narrowed my eyes. "He didn't train me. Ever." I said making her widen her eyes. "Oooh. Even better." She nudged my shoulder and we spent the rest of the day together.

"Do you suggest I make a deal with Rex?" I slid down in the car seat. "What do you think the outcome would be if you made a deal with the devil?" I answered and she nodded. "I thought so." She shrugged and sighed. "I hope you two can find peace together soon. I know Leonardo... He-... Let's just say I would never miss an opportunity to take him down." I narrowed my eyes at her and she didn't seem to want to speak about it. I nodded. "That makes two of us." I said and we said our goodbyes before I left the car.

I knocked on the door and there was no answer.

Okay?

I love being locked out of the house with no phone. I just sat on the porch and waited for someone. I was woken up by someone picking me up and carrying me hurriedly. At first I thought it was Will or Cameron but the person was way more aggressive and he was carrying me to the wrong direction. I was planning on playing asleep but I-... I fucking know that scent. I raised myself abruptly and gripped the persons shoulders.

"Rex?!" I looked at him terrified.

"I'll explain. We need to get out of here."
